That is big news... You guys have to try Pan's Labyrinth's 7.1 DTS MA soundtrack.. amazing.

Goodbye to a great audio and video genius and writer... JOHN GANNON. I enjoyed your friendship, wit and a nice long run we took around Indianapolis at CEDIA years back... and for buying my Runco 980 Ultra years back... you saved my ass! Rest in peace.

Finally!

Three weeks late but it looks like the free V2 upgrade (7.1 PCM via HDMI and a couple of bug fixes) is ready for download:

Just think, in another 19 months, Theta Casablanca users will be all the way to 5.1 on HDMI (maybe) (or not)

Thanx Jeff. Since I have less than a dozen 7.1 titles, discrete 7.1 input is not as big a deal for me as HDMI connectivity or room correction was.

Still, I'm surprised how much they can squeeze out of the ol' girl. Upon release, it could only input 1080i/60 and 5.1 PCM. Last summer they gave us 1080p/24/50/60 and this year we got 7.1 PCM.

Who knows, if they delay their next platform any longer, we may end up with PLIIz height channels. Heh.

Agreed (re: # of 7.1 titles). To this day, the 7.1 release of Pan's Labrynth is the most impressive sonic experience ever in my theater.

I have that on HD DVD (my only 7.1 title on that format). Loved it in the theatres, but never got around to re-watching it at home. Time to peel off the shrink wrap (and grab a box of kleenex).

EQ? Halcro never figured out how to get the scaler to work. EQ was light years away!!

My EQ is outboard!!

I can't attached the files you need as they both exceed the upload limit, you will need both the 1.25 and 2.0 versions for the MC12HD EQ.

There was an issue with the EQ version of the MC12HD and version2. The machine would freeze when an auto eq/level/distance set up was tried after version 2 was installed. Not enough resources. The work around was to downgrade back to 1.25, run the auto calibration and then upgrade back to 2.0 and include save the config file. You then have the correct eq/distances and levels as set by the machine in 1.25 plus the ability to run the 7.1 formats. Overall about three hours total time to do

message me via the AVS private messages with an e-mail and I will send you the two zipped files.

You can also grab the files thanks to Archive.org.

The Downloads section works.
