OK We have renders with which to make the final push in an intelligent fashion.

https://www.avsforum.com/forum/attach...p;d=1479995855.

https://www.avsforum.com/forum/attach...p;d=1480092199

Brad I do not know where he got the top2 positions, probably from the video I took of us discussing. Ill upload and post herein.

https://www.avsforum.com/forum/attach...p;d=1480092199

And guys ignore the tops siting it involves a far more clever mounting system than Carlos has been privy to.

And newborn that does not cry does not suck, OK Arnaud L is a genius and he did his home work on the 3D remapped based one topography serves all formats, of which this is skewed by weighed average to best compromise for an interim in between commercial ATMOS (MY Bible) but placing the rows of the ATMOS tops just outside the ears in a compromise towards what Arnaud L says MUST HAPPEN for Home ATMOS. So this is Brad's plan but I am seeing rampant channel insufficiency in the 3D renderings and will start protesting with a far more constructive solution that adds 4 channels to maximize LOGE's wraparound envelopment about the MLP strictly if for object intensive mixes like the percussive drums in Man From Uncle or any of the atmos tracks played for my Birthday Guinness record 3 Hour Demo Kaleidescape Script.Yes the one that was accidentally played without Bass Management due to HDMI accident cause by switching players for Gary Reber's Auro Jazz Recording. It was all Gary's fault! :D

We are only talking about four more channels 2 sides (and I will show which ones of those 24 possible positions I am talking about )and definitely two more tops in the rear above bar, to fill in in the imaging as indispensably required. :D TBD next week.

Brad's argument is that with the excellent phantom images, blah blah blah, it was precisely with these greatest of phantom imaging speakers that i discovered huge vectoral gaps around me at CEDIA. Its 2 cases of wine worth of Alcons anyways. Les priorités s'il vous plaît. :eeksurprise:

My BIM man is the architect in Charge of the Aston Martin Tower in Miami, and he is difficult to deal with but I need his magic , we are back on track. Like he points out code or architectural deficiencies to the autocad files submitted for the basis of the BIM 3D preparation, LOGE not excepted.

I promised Brad to have a 3d ready for Vicoustic to come up with an rt-60 value of 400 in for the two middle seats by the first:eeksurprise:. Then Walter will verify based on his experience calibrating the strato HYPERION seats which do suck up lots of sound.
http://blogs-images.forbes.com/krist...s-1200x675.jpg

And speaking about primadonas, I do not want to hear post facto what was done wrong here, so speak in a timely manner, as I will too emphasize those aspects where I think client may be compromising, Brad has to have an IQ over 165 so being the smartest most project focused client I can only lead the horse to the water on certain aspects, normally he comes back around to my original suggestion but with a 12 month delay.:D. So putting together a moon of saturn carries a diplomatic element, like the room color scheme in Hyperrion (where we were pushing fort a darker palette to preserve the room contrast) those negotiation aspects I much rather dispense with, but Brad is brilliant so I don't mind the intelligent deliberations (as he always has a plan B and C) :).

And here begins the LOGE Rendering LOVE FEST I had promised.

From Last Friday:

Brad can expand on some of the over-engineering reinforcement going on with this retro. This is in Sarasota FL. Finally no forseable coup d'etats, invasion of neighboring countries, or rampant Isis attacks, thanks Brad for your patronage the logistics of this one are a dream compared to the European Jobs.:)

Cool stuff! :)

Some quick questions...

1. What are the dimensions of the room?

2. What is the setup in terms of x.x.x?

Hi Kain like 35 feet long by 17 more or less with a wine bar notched out. as you know Im patiently waiting for drawings.:D

it is an 11.1.8(two stacks of marks 18's and two side alcons shallow 15-bass managed per surround quadrant bl br).

Bed channels are thre crms mkII, all surrounds are crs 12 and 8 font heights, back heights by bar and 4 tops are crs8- so what is considered full frequency native for the surrounds although also to be bass managed (future Trinnov upgrade).

Epic. I'm speechless :).

You picked the right man for the job (Peter you owe me lunch? :-)). I *really* like it that the MLP is exactly in the middle - single seat instead of a pair.

PS For some reason I keep thinking this room must have a very nice outside view? Pictures? I like houses with views.

Jon Lygren is seting up a special yarn rig to make his screen ( Jon this dual name thing is confusing to me-pick one and use the one :D) whatever the name is ;) it's the one that made the 65K Barco Athena look like a 350k Thor HC at CEDIA, it fooled several people including Tim that thought the projector was a Prometheus, But Most Importantly Tom Norton thought it was the THOR, resolution, color , contrast enhancement, Despeckling abilities (which turns out Blu Phosphor Laser benefits from and 6P requires)?? etc etc. the V6 unity gain represented in the USA by AVS and Alan.

But that is the fabric, the screen masking system is by the SMX engineer exclusively branded as CINERAMAX. It permits a screen perhaps 10% bigger than that of any other masking system due to frame tolerance efficiencies. Jon plans to take the V6 fabric to 21 feet wide in CINEMASCOPE. I personally checked the 4 way masking system drift at Skoll with a laser meter and tape measure 5 years after heavy duty use at SKOLL and it has not drifted 2mm since 2011, for a 4 way masks that adjusts itself every time you change a video source or change the movie in the Kaleidescape this is quite an accomplishment.

Here are the dimensions I personally designed for LOGE.;)Notice the Industry Leading ratio of surface area to screen border. The Masking is the legendary AT/dark velvet SMX developed.actually the dimensions below are wrong I must dig up new ones which are duly incoorporated in the BIM 3D:

https://www.avsforum.com/forum/attach...p;d=1479995855

https://www.avsforum.com/forum/attach...p;d=1478902533

https://www.avsforum.com/forum/attach...p;d=1478902533

https://www.avsforum.com/forum/attach...p;d=1478902533

If for some reason Jon cannot get the production running in time we can use another interim material.

https://www.avsforum.com/forum/attach...1&d=1480166697

I also had a very space efficient design from Stewart but it is restrictive to a CI Top masking system, like the one developed for Murat's HYPERION. While the screen is ideal for a room like murats where the image is purely MIMI-PLF (premium Large Format) where bottom picture is nearly on floor, here because of the entertainment area in back the screen must be elevated 2 feet, so I suggest My High image size/frame size efficiency vertical masking( I don't call this screen a horizontal masking like other idiots do :D the masking shgould desribe the trajectory of the masking and not the elongation of the boom:D) which will be hand-built by BJP using the leading manufacturing robotics control system, and somfy rollers, the best.

Screw the Directors and DP AR Intentions this is a MINI PLF : We zoom scope to 2.0 !!

slides to come.....

This will not be a kick in the nuts scope optimized system, it augments the vertical dimension to swallow the viewer in envelopment. It Zooms and cuts asses and elbows as it rightfully should! Just ask any good cinematographer, he will tell you:D The Butcher of CINEMASCOPE is yet another badge of honor I gladly put on every morning. By the time I am dressed Im so laden with these ICONOCLASTIC unifrom decorations that I oft feel like a model specializing in banana replublic dictator ceremonial garments. With the cigar and new facial hair et all. This is the Home Theater revolution of 2025 and like the Beattles it is spreading from Europe to America, and not a foreign cinema deployment public unrest adventure too soon.;) Right Walter? Walter calls this project an example of what in Siemens parlance they term a LIGHTHOUSE project, one that projects a beacon paradigm shift of new ideas into the horizon. Yes these Austrians can be even more lyrical than even Germans IOW they take the cake.:D

SARASOTA will become the new HT Capital of the USA! Mark my words. specially with the west coast resting on its laurels, yawn. Sorry Doc, except you with your constant due dilligence.

On the absolute, non negotiable imperative of zooming trust me, the slides will convince you. Even though Murat OBVIOUSLY :rolleyes:has not tested this feature yet because he would have been clamoring my genius by now at full lung.

Brad yo do attest to this thinking, right? Do declare that Im not crazy. Well a little bit of "good crazy".;)

Doctor, Jon and others that give me too much credit , Brad is driving a lot of the ideas and has been constantly fine tuning the design, but is safe to say that I turned on Brad to Alcons, That from the very beginning I said this had to be an Altitude room and we went through Datasat, Theta and Iosono considerations before he said to me I think the best option is the Altitude integrated hdmi decoder /renderer, yes :) thanks Brad  9 months after meetings and discussions:eeksurprise::wink::devil::angel::nerd: . This truly is a system being engineered deliberately and with an open mind as to opotions. Same thing happened with the MINI-PLF Hyperion chairs that I refined over the course of 5 years. Again the first I suggested for visuoergonomical reasons and Brad pointed to me as a suggestions 9 months after the fact, but for a very important rear quadrants avoidance of chair back oclusion purely an Immersive audio reasoning. I will post the artcicle in WSR where he bit the bullet on that, the one with my first article in it.

So The a chain, the b chain, the video and audio ergonomic advantages with a sleek look HYPERION Chairs everything's falling into place based on deliberate science and the ever evolving CINERAMAX IMMERSION philosophy. Sorry to be talking about myself in the third person a la Dan Marino, but I don't like sounding like the MY PILLOW GUY.:D

This chair has been evolving through Miami Beach in 2010, The 2012-14 Russian Campaign, The Turkish 2016 adventure and now comes fully perfected to the USA.Not only it positions your head just right for maximum immersion screens, but it also permits the sound coming form the rear speakers to reach your ear withou a stupid seat back being on the way, when solo watching only your chair has a bit of a back barrier all others clear the way to unperturbed direct immersion.

Frame looks GREAT Peter, and looms are threading as we speak...! I´ll keep you updated on the XXL progress, and I´ll certainly do my best to turn on all engines so that the XXL´ed screen fabric is ready sooner rather than later! :) As for the brand label, problem is that Hewlett Packard for some reason registered DreamScreen for their photo frames a while back, and although we have the name registered in Europe we need to use a different one in the US; ScreenAcoustics(.com). So, I guess, since you´re back and forth over the pond all the time, you´re home free whatever you choose to call it; but for marketing purposes we have to be quite strict as we don´t want HP breathing down our neck... ;) Perhaps simply "UltraWeave V6" would cut it???

Looking forward to new updates to this amazing project!! :):)

Format Agnosticism thgrough 3D remapping

8 Attachment(s)
LOGE is a system designed from the ground up to have 3d remapping at all times, at cedia 3d remapping sounded good when the bass management was working properly, when accidentally disengaged because of Gary, :D . I had Mark seeaton turn it off.

But conceivably with a deliberate effort from Walter and Trinnov I am confident we can leave on at all times. It better because the system is a mdofified version of the better speaker. combo package (good, better best) shown below.

I was told today that completion of a final array proposal will be happening soon, that it is 80% completed by Arnaud Square (the 2 arnauds ;)), the paper will be released for ISE, I reading beween the lines, the proposal may be a bit wheigted like I have been suggested towards maximum optimization for atmos, and that we all should be VERY pleased.

They are super comfy now that we added the integrated headrest support for Hyperion. Walter said he sat in the loiveseat with Murat for many hours of listening. I would say they are among the most comfortable, in Moscow I sat there for 2 weeks, so if you have a low fatigue sound system they are even better.:D

But besides the comfort all other chairs like the one I am siting on block like 150 degrees of crucial rear quadrant object motion and imaging information just with one chair with multiple chairs you block 180 degrees of the immersive audio soundfield. This is whether you are watching for yourself or have a full house, with the Strato you use the remote servo to leave down whatever chairs are not being unused. If we are going to hold a high standard for our immersive cinemas. let's not obviate that this one is crucial.

In moscow this involved 26 relays and cabling now it is all controlled with a daisy chained cat 6 cable, a cinch.

Now they have their own preset controllable microprocessor because before they had dual switches, Like i sat there for 3 minutes whie my Russian client raised the backs and seatrest
for both Leo Di Caprio and Will Smith. Also the dbox is very nicely balanced. I love this chair that is why I redesigned it three times to get it this cool.

Another very important thing when the legs extend out there is no multiple pieces of leg support a la lazy boy, it feel like one contiguous chaise lounge, that alone too is priceless.

While definetely the high end of the market the prices now are like 60% in the USA as what they were in 2012. I love this dollar euro thing.

Also let me add that when i service star island I do not bother raising the back and the chair without headsupport is very comfortable, and then you get the full 360 degrees of sound. This is the PROTO IMMERSIVE CINEMA CHAIR, period.

CINERAMAX 11-27-2016 07:38 AM

reagrding the Hyperion Room looking good -Thanks!!!!

Thanks Lon, I can take some credit on that one, where as long as I could support to Murat that form was maximising function he and his architects never said no.

Also there is a very good reaon Donald Trump builds furniture in Turkey, they have a couple of centuries of head start in wood craftsmanship expertize over their European neighbors.

They build every skyscrapper in Russia too so with metal they are fantastic, and the longest established metal fabrication company in Istanbul is guess what. It has Murats Last name first.:D

Look at his baffle wall that does not reonate or rattle AT ALL!

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...r/_48C2665.jpg

And the integrated deep shadow box encased with a proscenium that is shaped to postilion the atmos widths and tops...
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2..._53I0023_1.jpg

And the tesstarosa grille for the rear firing subs, and the steps made out of wood instead of carpeted... and the newly profiled light strip bull noze...

https://www.avsforum.com/forum/attach...1&d=1473139946

Also the sound specs are better than most studios according to Walter. Onced it gets the THOR in the gym behind the sony, it will be the best possible home cinema in Europe

Problem is it is difficult to bring a client to, here with LOGE although not having the spatial resolution of a 32 channel alcons, you cant get more than that due to the phantoms, ask THXMAN. This one will not only be an easily accesible showcase, but Brad has the outdoor entertainment arae to hos some nice avsparty's!:eeksurprise::devil:

Fantastic. In retrospect it's the multiple glass door panels that gave me a hunch about the view :). Any plan to dampen glass reflection?

Those seats are drop dead gorgeous and seem perfect in reclining position, but is it the pictures that give me the illusion that in upright position the seat is deep front to back and seatback is low? (Peter relax just a question :-).) I had theater chair with long front-to-back seat depth and took me a while to realize this long depth causes me to have back pain; probably because my low back can't touch the seatback and hence loses lumbar support. That I'm short at 5'7 and no longer a spring chicken probably don't help either.

Seat is so important especially since I enjoy retaliating to bad movies by falling asleep :-).

There are motorized blinds over the sliding glass doors, also a motorized blackout curtain that stores on the right sub wall and deploys in front the full span of glass. I'm 6'2", seat depth is not an issue, there will be an extra pillow for my wife.

Art

CINERAMAX 11-27-2016 03:21 PM

There will be close to full frequency diffusion in here too, be patient but within 6 inches and not 3 feet, but yes Rob is the reference for scale, room acoustics and he got a nice screen to boot, the Barclays high back fondly remind me when they were peddled by Bob Barker when i was 11:D- I can pass, the projector pass as it cannot be called a stallion if neutered for color space and MTF, the surround outdoor pa speakers overhead that are used down here in the Hollywood dog track- pass, but the work Keith Yates did is tops. I sent the link to Andrew Puolain to show how much more comprehensive and thorough than the new Dolby Cinema Reference that Opened last week at HQ. Keith was given recently an unlimited budget by Disney CEO and he then managed to blow that budget, how can you blow a Carte Blanche proposition? A tip of the hat to him.:)

This is a much more balanced approach, and wait because When you see the picture and sound on both theaters tell me that paying paying triple for room acoustics matters more, just dare say it bro, and we going to git into it right now.:eeksurprise::kiss:

Brad, I got a quote for another cleint for the 185 Diagonal Masking system. Right now the bim drawing shows a screen image size of 87" H by 12'10-11/16"

Maybe me receiving this invoice by Mistake is Synchonicity rearing it's head. on LOGE's behalf.

Sounds mighty fine to me since you will sit in the second row is closer to ideal, because this is a is one of the best optics 4k projectors out there used mainly for PLF the front row is fine too!

Please consider this:

1 - Horizontal Masking System: 185 diag. 16:9 VA 90.75 x 161.25 Height: 7' 6=3/4" Width:13' 5=1/4"
2 - Screen Surface Material: to be supplied by other.
3 - Mounting: surface wall mount.
4 - Power: 120 VAC 60Hz. 4amp.
5 - Communication: IR
6 - Covers: front mounting Black Velvet
7 - Optional Commuication: RS-232
8 - Delivery: to be determined.
9 - Installation: to be determined

As your attorney I advice you to augment to 185" Diagonal.

It better fits the scale of the space and a picture quality that show after show, shows why CINERAMAX is to BARCO what AMG is to MERCEDES!:D

SOLD! Screen now will be 185" Diagonal a nice round number.:)

Ok now I am trying to fit a Cine Digitar fixed lens which would catapult the PQ over the top as compared to the shortest zoom lens which are a bunch of Low MTF duds.

Let's see where that hushbox ends up now.

new screen width = 161.25
X
new throw distance 16.52 but this is in dci 4k pixels and not UHD pixels so bit more throw needed (.067x exactly), plus this throw is from lens to screen, the previous barco throw drawn is 18 feet but from screen to projector front. So it looks like highly beneficial situation. I must calculate with all the micro-variables above. looks like it's moving forward one foot, for a much sharper picture definitely worth it, its a UHD system after all.

THE 6 ATMOS TOPS GET 6 BOXES 24 WIDE BY 21 FRONT TO BACK BY WHATEVER THE ATTIC ALLOWS DEEP PROBABLY 22. tO BE FILLED WITH SONEX TYPE FOAM.

THIS EXTRA HEADROOM ABOVE CEILING HEIGHT OF 12 ASSURES THAT THE CRS-8'S CAN BE CROSSHAIRED PINPOINTED TO BRAD'S HEAD.

This is my first official revision of the floorplan for Carlos.

PROMETHEUS 1

6P LUX outboard light source 15,000 lumens. This device uses the same NECSEL lasers used in Barco, Christie and Dolby projectors and not the Chinese brand used by NEC.

As you know Brad has a plan a, b, c.

Plan a is to go with the whole rig Prometheus /LUX, Plan B) since he has a dowry to give when his daughter gets married next year, :D is start with the Xenon Prometheus I, but engineer everything else in place , plan c) well I know Alan is obliging him on that but quite frankly NO BLU LASERS ARE PERMITTED in any CINERAMAX Moon of Saturn (Hyperion excepted with the placeholder sony awaiting THOR HDR demo at Uwe's which is awaiting FULL FUNCTIONALITY HDR/3D demo at factory, etc. etc.). So lets not convert LOGE to a moon or Uranus by buying a castrated stallion the fittingliest definition of what BluLP ius.:eeksurprise::grin::wink::angel:. In deference to Brad there is a meritory aspect to doing dual projector HDR A LA SIM2 (but Not Dolby or Christie, please retract any such statements it is a technical impossibility).;)

AND TODAY I WILL START EMPHASIZING THAT THE BACKSTORY TO A GOOD ARTICLE (OR THREAD) although apparently having little to do with the Subject Matter to the firmly entrenched on the left side of the brain Bureaucratic types, to me it has way more significance to achieving ultimate excellence IN HT, than doing it by science alone. Nothing is more boring and soul-less than cinema-design-build PAINTED BY NUMBERS. Sorry 95% of the a/v world. But having met Brad which is SVP at one of the largest MIS most respected fortune 50 and contemporary to me having tried audiophile equipment in common in the 70's,80's,90's, and a brilliant Iq with a capacity to smultask left and right side brain functionalities is real privilege and a personal turbo boost to bring this previously mostly EUROPEAN Haute Immersion vehicle to the USA, Jeff led the way though, but Brad is so hands on and such a humble decent human being with a beautiful family that Although not making a fraction of my former 400 grand a system honoraries in the Russian Campaign years will allow my dream to bring the million dollar level of performance to the average rich guy videophile. My social responsibility moral compass.:) So I am enjoying this moon thoroughly, thanks again Brad, but because we want to broaden our perspective fully, yes, even telepathy is not off topic HERE.:D

So I am doing an uncrompromised design for option A looking as far into the future as my contacts and travels give clarity on. Then I look at every single element in the chain and start tweaking for maximum reality recreation factor, my goal since day one in 1979 and now the goal of the UHD aliance.:D let me just say that the V6 fabric's negative light matrix effect... Ill tell you that story how i coined that term after Yves Faroudja got 22 million dollars and they apparently went to his head a bit because he told me: "Peter what I need is negative light", 5 minutes later as I am crossing a huge c-band dish farm outside LVCC (in beween North and Center), "why am I thinking of this all of a sudden?" a thought telepatically was invading my thoughts - turns out that at the same exact minute Pat Riley was asking my engineer during an installation progress meeting in Miami if he thought having the perforated holes with the black dots would help the contrast - with the wood louvers open to see the ocean?

At that same time I am like "Yves really lost it now", but as I walked through that huge EM field the solution to negative light was magically transmitted into my brain (within the exact same minute that Pat was asking my engineer). I then turned around walked back to Yves, and told him "I have your NEGATIVE LIGHT solution via a perforated screen with black backing acting as a light matrix like the old tv tubes shadowmasks. I swear this to be true.

So fast forward to the IMMERSION 2025 Part A this last cedia demo and I immediately pick up the "negative light matrix" effect on the V6, but this time it is close to NANOPERF. 19 years and 10 months after the Riley/Faroudja/Negative Light Matrix INEXPLICABLE SEMINAL event. Bingo!

Incidentally after the Melies brother films the second country to produce and project a film was Cuba in 1897, Interestingly enough the film was titled SIMULACRO DE INCENDIO a simulation of a building on fire. Rings a bell? REALITY RECREATION that is in my DNA.;) The zeitgeist of that 1897 film is now expounded in every best buy and Saturn store on the planet 120 years later.;)

I have always argued here that the reasons why I am blessed with having more than every once in a while push the envelope forward is precisely because I grew up in the caribbean and will use any means at my dispossal to replicate that UWCG and cr faithfully. Not so the case with NTSC which was invented in Indiana which is oft too gray and for which we went through the dark ages here in the USA. LOL

So the current incarnation of the lux uses some 3 out of the 6p bandwidths that are wrong for my quest for reality, the new rlaser cluster evision promises to do just that.

Because a THOR HC or even a Christie infinite contrast 6P stack are not a possibility in LOGE, this is the least compromised solution for the moment, for which I intend to validate every aspect going down to the internal components level. To make sure it is as good as the Thor, tall oreder but Alan ordered a extreme high temp. diffusion filter so who knows.:) Again if you have the room The Thor HC can be magnificent, 2D cr. wise perceptually too if the sdr is converted to eotf 2084 and it is fed that way, easier said than done but eventually breakable. But since for every HT's that can accommodate the THOR there are 5 that can accommodate this design, there is value into perfecting this modular approach and also permits progressive investments to perfect the system further. Brad's Plan B, which seems likely the lot of the draw. What can I say, Women, directly or indirectly! They always manage to cost me money.;)

I will keep you in suspense to explainanother inexplicable telepathic tragic incident involving the capturing the death moment of one of the most beloved brands in audio, their national sales manager. Stay Tuned to the CINERAMAX TWILIGHT ZONE.
