Thanks for the update. I eagerly await your impressions.

By the way, if you don't mind, could you state what other setups you've had in the past and/or what your current setup is?

Very interesting Dr. Sound. I havin't heard of the Blue Horns. I would love to hear these some day. Ive heard a couple cinemas with Meyer Acheron systems in them that sounded phenomenal. Im a fan of Meyer sound from the times Ive heard them in action. Best sounding concert I ever heard was with Meyer Sound Leo line arrays. Thanks for sharing.

@brownsguy it's been 30+ days with no update. Is the install still on schedule for early next month? I'd love to hear them before visiting the in-laws in Florida before Thanksgiving.

Was that to subtle?

Mike:

Two folks from Meyer are flying out at the end of next week to calibrate the system, after which it will be an additional week or two to finalize/get the room in full working order.

Will post some pictures once everything is in--here are a couple taken recently.

(Apologies in advance for my poor photo skills...)

Thanks for the preliminary pics.

Just wanted to point out that every picture on the Meyer Sound website has the X-400C's port at the bottom and the woofer at the top. Yours is reversed. Not sure if it makes any difference at all but thought I would just point it out.

Kain:

You may be confusing the Meyer subs...

Per my equipment list above, I have two x-800C front subs, which match the Meyer website configuration.

One Meyer x-400c serves as my rear sub.

I was referring to the three subwoofers that the Bluehorn speakers are sitting on. If you look at the following picture from Meyer Sound's website, you'll see that the port is at the bottom and the woofer is at the top:

In your setup, it is reversed. The port is at the top and the woofer is at the bottom.

Kain:

Now I understand--will let the Meyer guys sort it out when they arrive next week.

Thanks for the heads up in the interim...

No problem.

By the way, will you have a baffle wall up or will the speakers be free-standing behind the screen?

It’s a wonderful room and I was lucky enough that my companies were selected for the screen and the acoustic design. It is part of the wider smart apparent experience centre which is certainly one of the nicest in Europe.

Thanks @ceenhad Oh it's this theater! I remember reading about this theatre a few months back because of some automation that Cornflake had done. I should of put 2 and 2 together.

What an absolutely knock-out theatre! It looks stunning and the performance must be unreal. I love Meyer's approach with this Blue Horn system.
