Lygren, not sure if you have my email address, but otherwise pm me on the other site with info about the theater you guys will be building this year?

Sure Donald, will send you some info! Alcons would very much like to copy the CEDIA layout though, but as they do not supply the pre-build audio rooms at ISE it´s a bit more complicated...

I will be there as always. Display Technologies are a solution partner for Barco Residential and are providing multiple screens, mounting systems and hush boxes for the show.

In addition we will be launching a new system called Lightwalls that makes it super easy to design a theatre room with integrated acoustics and lighting.

Should be a great show but another year of the RAI bursting at the seams!

Neil, will you have a room like in the past few years, with Genesis, and or DT screens? Probably next to Barco Residential. Will email Tim to see what Barco Residential will be doing at the show.

I skipped metstrade in the same venue, so did not see what (Steinway Lyngdorf) stuff your Dutch associates had to show to the marine tech (Super Yacht) market.

Okura (expensive Japanese hotel, Sony used to book-out for IBC, back in the day) used as an overflow location, some of the conferences are there, the Digital Cinema Summit in particular, and the 'new' AV stuff, mixed and virtual reality area. Some nice classic hotel ballroom=conference room area's there.

Nigel Arrow, should be there, Werner should be there, Patrick from Grobi and his team should be there, both usually make show video's,Patrick long one's Werner quick impressions with a few snippets from the main HT projector vendors.

Hi Donald

I am there as DT this year as all of the above is literally in the Barco Residential suite at the show. I do not believe there will be a GT booth by any of the entities but everyone will be there of course!

I’d be interested if Genelec has the S360 Monitor available for demo?

@Holy Grail E107 is, the Barco Residential with Steinway and @ceenhad stuff room. That corridor is to be found up the escalators at the main hall 10-12 enterance, and then before the steps of the corridor to hall 1-7 to the left that is corridor E.

That was a big piece of first surface miror glass Neil. On the side wall mounted projector. The two offsett mirrors in the cabinet were a lot smaller. The rest of the Barco Residential demo's mostly use the elbow lens, this year. Haven't seen the demo's properly, yet.

So, you did the CEDIA Home Theater Masterclass. I had briefly seen an announcement quite some time ago. But only noticed it was yesterday on the pre-show day, yesterday after the fact. Did briefly sit in on an interview with Theo and an UK theater builder to the London Rich, today. I believe Genelec pressconference conflicted with that.

I'll be there for a couple days. It will actually be my first year to attend the show. I've taught classes there several times, but never managed to make time for the show itself.

I never/hardly ever make it to the side program. I believe the press access does not (automatically) extend to the professional improvement programmes.

I´ll be back as part of the Alcons Immersive Experience demo. 11.x(6).8 setup this year, made possible using the new MK2 version of the Storm processor. Fully digital signal chain from preamp to amplification. "World premiere" on the new Envy madVR is another perk at this booth this year (MadVR will hold an event on Tuesday afternoon 16:00-18:00). We will also be showing off our new v7 screen fabric for the first time. Sony VW5000 on the projection side this year. No pro part this year, only residential, 30min demo sequences throughout the day.

I leave tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing your brands in action at the show. I only have one (maybe two) classes to teach myself so I will have plenty of time to see the sights.

Completely different type of waffle. I guess the Dutch alternative to those would be poffertjes with some butter and lots of powdered sugar. Yes,I know these are part of other culinairy traditions as well.

I only managed to talk with Walter for a bit. What I thought would be a nice lazy show for me turned out otherwise. For the good though.
