Do You Download or Stream Music With Your Home Theater or 2 Channel System?

Do You Download or Stream Music With Your Home Theater or 2 Channel System?

If so which sites do you frequent?

1. QBuz streaming and/or purchase

2. TIDAL streaming

Purchase Only: All are 2 channel only unless otherwise noted

3. https://www.hdtracks.com/ (sale via email every Friday)

4. https://www.prostudiomasters.com/5. https://www.highresaudio.com/en/site/index (some albums are not allowed to be sold to US customers, but many still can be and prices are lower than other sites)

6. https://bluecoastmusic.com/ (audiophile recording techniques)

7. https://www.soundliaison.com/index.php (audiophile recording techniques, all albums sound fantastic)

8. https://www.nativedsd.com/ (also has multi-channel)

9. http://stockfisch-records.de/sf12_start_d.html (audiophile recording techniques) (some of their SACDs are multi-channel) (European with payment in Euros)

10. https://store.acousticsounds.com/cat...gital_Download

11. https://www.highdeftapetransfers.com/

I have bought music from all of the above sites - but I have so much music that I am not streaming from TIDAL or Qbuz. The only exception is Stockfisch - I just discovered them and playing samples and doing a bit of web sleuthing it "sounds" like their music is very audiophile.

These sites' music is generally minimum 44-24 resolution, up to sometimes 4xDSD in some cases depending upon the album and website.

How about you?

I stream via Tidal and Spotify. I’m fairly young so I never really amounted much of a physical collection in movies or music. Jury is still out if I can tell the difference between the 2 streaming services audio quality on my setup for 2 channel.

I have been streaming my CD collection FLAC files in 7.2.4 for over a year now. Use an older router with a USB attached 8TB drive. Connect my Pioneer Elite SC97 via ethernet to the router (hardwired.)

I have all of my living room theater equipment connected to the router. So that I can control each piece of equipment. The router has NO internet access connected. I use the Pioneer AV5 app to access and control the media server functions. The app is great provides all the details about each song, album, album art and artist and can play ALL songs shuffled within the entire CD collection.

It’s been nice to enjoy my CD collection again. Listening to artist and songs I have not heard in a long time.
