Maybe a new projector to replace Sony VPL1100?

I have a Sony VPL-1100 (originally a 1000) that has served me well but am considering something that can do HDR and have better contrast. Other than the blacks, I do still love the projector. My budget this time around is probably $15-20k. The room is not a bat cave but does have blackout shades that control most of the light leakage. Screen size is 110". Besides Sony, is the only other real choice at this price JVC?

I'd say it's either a Sony or a JVC right now. Not sure there will be anything new this year - or if they will even have shows like Cedia this fall.

I am in the same boat and looking at either an NX9 or RS4500. I think that either would serve you well around this range.

With a 110" screen, either of those two would work well. I'd personally lean toward the NX9, but the 4500 is excellent as well.
