I know for a fact I have a working solution now, but will be trying many different options this weekend.

1. Kanex Pro 4K HDMI; Audio Extractor 18Gbps 4K HDMI Audio Extractor with Dolby Atmos (HAECOAX3) - (Unlikely to work)

2. Neoteck 192kHz Digital to Analog Audio Converter with Volume Knob Support DTS/Dolby AC3 5.1CH Digital SPDIF Coaxial Toslink to Analog Stereo Left/Right RCA + 3.5mm Jack Audio Converter (Likely to work only if you have a processor with a down-mixed digital toslink/coaxial output. Example: Emotiva RMC-1)

3. HDMI splitter into a separate Atmos/DTSX pre-pro "JUST" for the D-Box HEMC (Almost 100% sure this will work.)

4. If none of the above works: I'll just get the Atlona AT-HDR-M2C 4K HDR Multi-Channel Digital to Two-Channel Audio Converter (According to Dbox. Will work)

5. All else fails... connect a microphone to the 3.5mm input of the HEMC and place it in the room to have it listen to the soundtrack like Shazam. (A laughable setup, LOL)

@thxman Thanks for getting me into D-Box I really think it will take my theater to another level.

System is finally working using a secondary processor and just using the headphone output on the front for right now.

Will likely move it over to the Left and Right Analog outs eventually.

Going to try to put the final touches on it tonight and tomorrow and then finally be ready to show it off a little to the members of the Wisconsin Get Together Enthusiasts Group.

for everyone, what are some of the best demo clips to show off D-Box?

Unbroken Atmos Demo clip seems amazing.
Ready Player one Race Scene is a great one too.

You can find my old D-Box FAQ on the internet archive for a good list up until about 2014 or so. Look for drvais.com on there

D-Box SRP-230 inside a Jaymar 351?

Yes please!

Sorry Mario! I had to butcher the bottom of the chair to get it installed, but it works.

I needed to install D-Box into my middle chair and already had the SRP-230, so I made it work.

Here is a picture of it nearly complete.

So I dialed in and calibrated the Crowsons and D-box into the system. WOW!

Absolutely incredible.

More people need to experience D-box in the proper settings.

I was surprised at how well the D-box alone reinforced the subs (I have 10 Seaton F-18's). The vibration and movement is seamlessly integrated with the chest compression and Low freq extension of the subs.

Absolutely, the setup I have of Crowson and D-box take it up yet one small level too.

But Not as much as it may be worth for most

D-box gets you 95% (For Vibration) of the way there as is.

*100% for movement obviously. *

Tony demo'd the D-box system to my wife and I this morning. I have to say, it is pretty sweet. It was spot on with the action/sound on the screen.

My favorite part was the tank battle on Fury. Absolutely Incredible!!!! I felt like I got shot out of that cannon myself.

Very Impressive!! I look forward to watching a whole movie cough "fury" cough haha

Thanks again Tony for showing the set up to us

Watched How to Train Your Dragon 3, last night. D-box really adds to the experience. Feeling the flaps of the wings on the dragons, feeling the fire breath, the swords hitting and axe swings, and the flight was all done very well.

Great job Dbox!

You can play through any device now thanks to the HEMC.

Getting the HEMC connected can be a challenge due to it requiring a 3.5mm Stereo jack, but once you do, it works fantastic with any type of source. Steaming, Ripped, Disk, etc...

Not that I am currently in the position to purchase any D-Box equipment but I'm curious of a few things I hope you owners can advise on.

How quickly does the system recognize the media being played?

Is there a delay from the start till the D-Box kicks in and when it does can there be a jolt in motion?

Have you had the system work with promotional D-Box videos and/or movie trailers or other short videos encoded with motion code?

Do your chairs do anything with non-D-Box media? Act like bass shakers etc?

Looking at the D-Box website they state over 1400+ movies encoded for home systems and within my media library I have 1300 of those, over a third of my movies. Right now it's a lottery dream system but one day it may become a reality! Thanks for any input!

1. 5-15 secs
2. No delay and yes there can sometimes be a small jolt, nothing to extreme though.
3. No on the promotional material, and trailers typically are varied enough with scene by scene content that it wont recognize it as the full movie.
4. Unfortunately not there was talks of doing a LFE audio mode years ago but that never became a thing.
5. That’s fantastic! Im loving my D-BOX experience. As is everyone that I am demoing it for!

Unfortunate to hear there is no LFE mode for the chairs. That would add extra to their overall value IMO. Bring more tactile feeling into any media.
