Just auditioned some Venere 1.5 against Totem Rainmakers and GoldenEars. GoldenEars sounded awful to me and the Totems were freshly unboxed so slightly unfair.

But those Venere! Nice controlled bass, beautiful midrange and the imaging. They sound great.

Has anyone compared the Venere against Studio Electrics, Von Schweikerts, Dali Mentor Menuets, Vapor Sound Auroras, Legacy Audios or Thiels? Of comparable size; i.e. bookshelves? Thanks!

I am interested in how the venere 1.5 goes against the Revel m105 or the 2.0 against the m106 for that matter

I have not A/B compared them but I have heard both the Von Schweikerts and Legacy Audio AND listened to the entire Venere line for multiple hours:

Legacy Audio had a more detailed smother sound from top to bottom...more balanced. Sound stage was just as good as the Venere IF you were in the sweet spot but for Legacy that is a very small spot.

Legacy Audio -- Sonus Faber Venere 1.5 >>> Slight nod to the Legacy...

Von Schweikerts I didn't like at all and missing a sound stage ...just sounded like studio monitors to me...VERY mechanical and dead...with some good bass. Winner clear Sonus Faber Venere....of course this is all my opinion.

Any reviews of the venere wall model? I really like the form factor. I would be using for sides and surrounds. I have 3 venere 3.0s up front.

Also was considering PSB imagine s for a dipole side surround (matches the white and level of speaker, although I didn't love the imagine towers next to the venere 3.0), any thoughts in this combo? Wish venere had a dipole/bipole!

Anyone compare the Revel f208 to the Venere 3.0?

Who has a 7.1 Cremona theater and how doesn't sound?

Did any one saw the new Sonus Faber at the Newport beach show last weekend! I didn't have my camera they look really nice

Just listened to the Dali Menuet and the PSB Imagine. The PSB definitely dig deeper into the bass but didn't seem as clear/precise to me as the Menuets.

Sonus Faber Venere 1.5 still had the better soundstage, tighter bass. In terms of clarity I remember the cymbals on the Venere sounding very good and better than anything on either the Menuets or PSBs.

So, still favoring the Venere.

I'm new here . I just sold my entire B&W 802 system and purchased the Sonus Faber Elipsa with Mcintosh MC601 mono blocks . Has anyone paired them together ? Can you give me some opinions since my Mcintosh amps are back order and I won't get them until the end of this month .

I was about to buy the SE because they are beautiful but when I listened to it .. actually the sound was different .. I personally prefer the original sound better ..I believe not only me noticed the difference

Because of the polish lacquer on the se , they made more layers ( this absolutely changed the sound) in order to make the se looks like a little brother of the Stradivari. The sound from the original mable more clear and forward..I don't know how to explain but that the sound of the elipsa . That the sound got the elipsa the award in 2007 not the SE sound . This is only my humble opinion. I believe everyone has different taste and opinion .

I see more Sonus Faber discussion on the Audio Afficiando forums. Lots of McIntosh / SF discussion over there--mostly 2 channel. From the comments I've read, the Elipsa SE / MC601 combo should be great. I'd love to add a MC452 / C2500 combo to my system. Everything over time, right?

3 wood Venere 3.0s for front LCR just got here! But I haven't finished the blue jeans cables so I can't hear them, anyway loving the eye candy. I bought these after an extensive listening search and hope they translate well at home... I'm matching with 2 pairs of PSB Synchrony S dipoles (hope the match works out, going on faith;/) and 2 SVS SB13 ultras.

I'm still breaking them in. I've previously owned Dynaudio Excite x-16 , x-22 center. I loved the dyns.
But I couldn't pass up the sexiness of these Veneres. The dynaudios are bookshelfs and these are tower but dynaudios have bigger and fuller sound than these.
But Venere has its own strength. It sounds a bit thin on the vocals compared to dyns but better focus and speed. The staging is much bigger than the dyns.
But the Venere Center is much open and clearer than the dynaudio X-22 center.

Thanks! I do love my setup. These Sonus Faber Venere matches up pretty well with my Marantz.
I'm really starting to love my Veneres. The sound it produces is very sweet.
Compared to dynaudio X-16 the tweeter isn't as full bodied as the dyns but has tad more air and better extension up top. Which makes it a little more sparkly.
Still breaking them in, but I'm still enjoying them very much.

Hello everyone, looking to get some feedback from owners here.

Im trying to upgrade my front three mains in my home theater. Currently running DT7001's and CLR3000. Marantz AV7005 and Emotiva XPA-5 amp.

Today I went to my local speaker joint and gave a listen to many things. Last thing was the Cremona M speakers. The rep said these were being discontinued so he would make me a banging offer on the floor models.

After listening, they sounded awesome. Very detailed mid range and got very nice and low without a sub, two things I was looking for. I do have a Submersive in the room but I cant use it all the time because of the neighbors complaining. Thats why I needed something a bit more full range when its off.

So the dilemma is, Ive been extensively considering the JTR 228 and Triad inroom Gold LCR as my main options. This will be used for 100% movies, no music whatsoever.

The rep said I could have all 5 Cremona speakers(front 2, center and rears) for around 11.5k. I know this is a smoking deal. The thing that bothers me is are these still 3 and 2 times better for the price than the JTR or Triads?

Anyone experience the other speakers Im considering?

Wow, that's a deal. No experience with the other speakers you mention but I've been enjoying my Cremona Ms in my 2ch rig for the last three years. Great speakers! I chose them after comparing to B&W Diamonds. It was no contest for my ears. I'm sure you know he's offering you a full 5 speakers for the retail price of just the Cremona Ms. Only your ears can tell you what you prefer. But I'd jump before somebody else does!

Yeah my only concern is that they are discontinued now. I would always wonder what improvements were made in the new line.
