I have A High-Resolution Audio Experience. The samplers do not contain the songs in their entirety.

They have keyhole slots on the back.

Search for my post in this thread where I showed how I mounted my Slanted 8’s used as Front Heights.

In therory that will get you a little less than 113db at 1 meter. Depending on how loud you listen and how far away you will be that amp could work. I like overkill though.

Thanks.

It can be externally bridged so it is 8x120W. Is that enough overkill?

For Atmos overhead channels (my use case with this amp), that would be overkill!

JTR Noesis Demo Near Detroit?

I'm considering JTR speakers for an upcoming theater build, but have not heard any in person. I reached out to Jeff at JTR about hearing 210/212/215 Noesis. He suggested inquiring with owners on this thread to see if anyone is within a few hours of Detroit area who are willing to demo their setup. So are there any JTR owners in the area willing to demo at your convenience? My backup plan is a 7 hour drive to JTR headquarters to see Jeff...doable, but not ideal. Please PM me or reply if you might be willing to demo your setup at some point. Thanks!

I live in Perrysburg just south of Toledo and am happy to help out with a demo when the time comes. The future theater room they are in is unfinished and untreated but you’ll still be able to walk away with a nice impression. I was blown away when I heard the 210RT’s at Ray’s and know the importance of a good demo before you make a purchase of this magnitude. I also have a pair of OS LFU’s and a pair of Slanted 8’s that I can set up in 5.1 so you can get the full(ish) JTR experience.

You guys are very generous. Perrysburg is less than 2 hours drive, so I will certainly get in touch via PM.

Careful now... if people start getting demo's of the OS LFU then Jeff isn't going to be happy about the pleading to bring it out of retirement!

Haha true. I know people have moved towards having more ULF, but I still think they are ridiculous and have to be careful not to break my house during spirited listening sessions. Demos will be limited until my theater room is done and by that time the 8000ULF and the JTR equivalent of the SKHORN will be released.

Has anyone found a paint that matches the JTR finish? My S2 has some scuffs from its recent move that I'd like to take care of.

Sure but just for some light touching up, it'd work, or simply some flat black paint...

I have duratex rolled on my giant DIY subs sitting next to 215RT's. Subs are rougher, almost looks like Jeff may use a quick knockdown knife or something like used in drywall, looks 'flattened' a little compared to my rolled subs left alone to dry. They are closer than I thought after reading this comment and going to check...

I’m not a fan of the standard finish as it shows EVERY mark. My 215’s and 2 of my S2’s are behind a screen so it isn’t a big deal. I have built several DIY soundgroup speakers and finished them in duratex and like that finish better. I like the finish of the PowerSound Audio speakers a lot also.

It is my only complaint I have about any of my JTR products and it is very minor.

I agree. I wish all the finishes were like the JTR pro line. My friend bought a couple 118 pro subs you couldn't leave a mark on the finish if you wanted to.

I've long thought that a blind comparison between a OS LFU and a 4000 would be very interesting, especially for those that have never heard an OS and have a preconceived idea of what they sound/feel like by looking at a graph.

I'm not saying everyone would pick the OS, but I'm confident that some would (especially if the room had concrete floors) and all that haven't heard one would be impressed.
