LOL- It has been quiet... Jeff helped with upgrading a crossover (center channel 215rm) a couple of weeks ago. Really enjoying it, especially after getting the atmos installed. Watched MI-Fallout last night...great audio and video.

Now i'm hunting down a new projector...can't decide between a JVC x790r or the nx5...

Ive had the last 3 generations of e-shift PJ's and while each one of those was a very moderate improvement, IMO the move to the rs2000 was anything but.

I wish I could hear the jtrs in person the specs seem great but honestly my only listening comes from YouTube as far as focal 948 are concerned From listening on YouTube I decided I don’t want the focal 936 they don’t have a full sound I’m looking for but the 948s sound lively and full with a great sound stage of course judging only from YouTube The Jtrs sound great from YouTube very clear and full with great bass but atleast through my speakers the focal seemed to more dynamic and a bit clearer it might be to the recording itself or expensive amps powering them but atleast to me it sounded somewhat better I understand audio is subjective but I know Jtr has some of the best speakers around I know it’s not easy to explain what sounds better to someone without demoing the speakers

Well looks like the 110 would be a good side surround so I can repurpose the single 8lp to ceiling duty. Thanks for posting Chucky!

Mrs. Irish wanted to change out the Salk towers we had in the living room. I thought what a great time to get the 210RT towers instead! What she really meant was she wanted new smaller speakers.

I went to Jeff asking him his thoughts about utilizing the Single 8HT X 5 for a living room entertainment center and after some back and forth via phone and email he offered the option of the not yet released 110HT for the LCR to compliment the 8HT rears. Needless to say I jumped at the opportunity.

Out of respect for Jeff's wishes I haven't posted anything about the 110HT until he made the formal announcement. I've had three of them as my LCR for about the past month along with (2) Single 8HT as surround in my living room.

I am very, very impressed with their performance! Honestly I think the larger JTR speakers would have been wasted on me, for my needs. Not to say they wouldn't sound great but these are outstanding. The dynamics are awesome, very clear, and they go LOUD with just being powered by my Denon receiver. Currently they're waiting on my friend to finish our built in entertainment center to have a permanent home and I'll post much better pictures when it's completed.

For reference here's the 110HT on top of a Captivator 1400.

Absolutely! I have them crossed over @ 80Hz and they sound great together.

The Salk speakers I had were very good but the 110HT are vastly superior when it comes to dynamics and movies. They can be pushed much harder without distortion or compression.

I haven't heard the larger JTR offerings. But for an unobtrusive, "reasonably sized", living room setup these things really rock! Once I get the stand built and everything dialed in I'll take measurements and post them.

What are people using for Atmos speakers with their JTR speakers? Are 8" speakers necessary or will something like a 6" KEF work well? I need a recessed type to blend into the living room. I know the RSL C34E are recommended a lot in the Atmos thread but thought I'd get opinions here as well.

Where do you have the center channel?

I have three Single 8 HT's (~2009 model) in my family room system, but they are on top of a large wall unit, all near the ceiling and angled down. Not ideal placement, but in the future, will be looking for a larger (65" or 77") TV, and will wall-mount the TV, and then will need wall-mountable speakers.

2 weeks ago I had a 65" Vizio on a wall mount and the center channel was in front, no obstruction.

However, I just got a 75" Sony X940E and put it on it's stand while waiting for our built in to be finished. Currently I'm using just the left and right minus the center channel. Truthfully it sounds great as a phantom center.

When the built in is completed the center channel will go over the top of the Sony angled down toward the couch.

You do realize that listening to anything on your speakers is only showing you what your speakers sound like, right? And absolutely nothing at all with how the speakers that were playing sound like? Furthermore, what are the chances that the recording even accurately captured the sound of the speakers in the first place. I mean, if I play a youtube video of Revel Salon 2's playing a song on my $100 speakers, that means I'm hearing what the $10,000 Revels sound like, right? In fact, I listen to a YouTube video of JTR biggest best speakers on my cell phone and they had no bass at all. I mean, thats a ridiculous and extreme example but what you are saying makes less than zero sense.

I think Bear summed it up nicely. PLEASE don't listen to youtube vids to make any type of judgement call on speakers. That's completely silly. Try to find someone or somewhere to demo out what you may be interested in...PERIOD.

I'm glad Jeff finally announced them! I have had the Noesis 110HT as my LCR since May and am loving them. My previous speakers were Seaton Cat 12s, a move forced me to sell them and always wanted to give Jeff's speakers a try. I have these in a dedicated theater room that I am building out slowly and frankly these have been perfect. I had the same conversation with Jeff that Irish above did, was interested in a 5.whatever solution with 8HT's and Jeff let me know about something he had been working on and was getting ready to introduce, so I jumped at the opportunity.

Never detected a hint of straining when I have pushed them, which I admittedly dont do much as I have a newborn and sleep is already at a premium. I will post photos later this evening, but it is safe to say, these things arent going anywhere.

for @savefarris and @irishluck73 ... Did either of you have or hear the 8HT and can compare to these new 110HT?

I have a couple of single 8HT that I got used that I am using for Left and Right and am quite happy with them so far (I have a small room). I would like to get a 8HT for the center but could go the new new 110HT . but just the way I have my screen set-up it is a wee bit larger than I would like.

Biggest issue for me is just being a cheapskate. I was ecstatic to get the two used single 8HT for a good price locally. Being Canadian .. and having to pay new with exchange rate + cross-border shipping is something I have to mentally "get-over".

But .. still happy to know that if the 8HT disappears there should be another option that could work that - I'm hoping - has much the same tonal characteristics.

Hey there, unfortunately I havent had an opportunity to compare to the 8HT, these are the first JTR speakers I have heard. That being said, I have no idea of his future plans, but Jeff didnt mention that he was planning on moving away from making the 8HT, just offering these as another option.

tks. I wasn't trying to imply anything about the future. Other than .. if something new has just been introduced, it will presumably be around for a few years. Which is good news.

here are a couple quick photos. I have to get them off the floor (like i said, the room is a work in progress). Im thinking about raising the screen up and having the 110HTs sit on a few of Jeff's subwoofers since I am currently without any dedicated low frequencies. If anyone wants any additional photos or comparison shots, just let me know.

It seems you have around 32" under the screen area, so if you lay your speakers on their sides(which you can because they are coaxials), you can fit most JTR subs under them... Alternatively, you can also get 3 16"~18" speaker stands and put a Cap 2400 between the speakers.

Speakers: L/C/R: JTR Noesis 212HT. Surrounds: Jamo C103, KEF Q100, Polk Audio RTiA3.
Subwoofer: JTR Captivator 4000ULF.
AVR: Denon AVR-X4400H. TV: Samsung UN75NU8000FXZA.

FS: Jamo C103, KEF Q100 and Polk RTiA3

Looks good. You should paint the outlet cover black though!
