Did not care about discount. What is more important is that I wont have to strip the paint off and prep the speaker again.

Been loving my 210s for 2 channel music for a few years now, but it's time for me to get into home theater. I've ordered a center channel 210 as well as 2 surrounds. My next upgrade will be two more RS2s.

Has anyone talked to or heard from Jeff recently? The amp on one of my S2s seem to have died again and I am unable to get hold of him. The amp seems to turn on, shows that it's receiving input but the sub produces no output. The cables etc are all fine as I tried them on my other S2. The same thing happened to this sub after I kept it unplugged for an extended period when I originally bought it. At that time Jeff asked me to send it to speakerpower who repaired it and returned it to me. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

Jeff did get back to me. The amp is enroute to Speaker Power. Let's see how it goes.

Nate you are who I wanted to talk to. Do you think JBL SCS8’s will pair well with my JTR single 8’s? I gotta a great deal on four of them and want to add them in for rears and front heights. They have been sitting for a year or two. Gonna be some fine tuning to blend them in but think they will be fine. Maybe you have crossed sets along the way. Thanks

Yes, I had the SCS8's along with my S8s at one point. I though they were great and they would be my Atmos speakers if I didn't already have my volt 8s. I sold my sets when I re did my old room and needed a in ceiling type of install. I regret selling them. They were great speakers.
I thought they played very well together!

I had a feeling that you had some mixed in at one time if I remembered. I think what I am going to do is use my slanted single 8’s for rear and side Atmos (Heights) and bring the JBL’s down for sides and rears.

I run SCS8s for Atmos (4), and Slant 8s for Sides and Rears.

Love em.

I am not sure if he settled on the final dimensions. I think 43” wide, 14” deep and 10” high. Will have four 8” woofers (two on each side of the horn) with the nicer “htr” compression driver. Going to have a 95 dB sensitivity and still go down to 70 hz. Can’t wait to see this executed. Think it will look very, very cool. And sound even better! Thanks to Jeff at JTR for working with me on this!

Finally switching to JTR - rear suggestions?

Hey guys!

Finally sold my big ML ESLs, center is next...once that's gone, I will order my set of JTR. I think I'm going 212RT + 210RM for center. My question - currently using ML Motion 40's as rears. I have a spare set of bookshelves from ML as well (35xt), and will likely connect those and sell the 40s. I've realized such big towers are overkill for rears. What is a good suggestion for rears? Will I be okay w/ the Logans? Or should I find something else that's closer in sound/FR to the JTR? Hope this question makes sense, but I don't think JTR has a bookshelf option, so just wanna get suggestions!

Thanks in advance guys, excited to join The Brotherhood of JTR

You can try yours but I bet you’ll want to go to the 110 at some point. They replaced the Single 8 HT. You’ll find yourself listening louder than in the past since it’s so clean that it might be more than your MLs can handle. Try them for a bit and then make that decision.

Great, will look at the 110 as well. I live in a duplex w/ shared walls, so don't get to rip them super loud that often. But after connecting my ML towers, the sound difference in gaming alone was so noticeable - ESLs just weren't right for my room/usage. And I played some music (which I never did before ESLs) and was pleasantly surprised. I can't imagine what JTR is gonna sound like!

What are the main differences between the 212RT and the 215RT as far as components? Which one would have better sound quality for 2 channel music? How important is it that the center compression horn is the same height as the Left and right speakers? I know the 215RT is truly a full range speaker, but how would it sound, quality wise against a 212RT? Anyone heard/had both and can comment?

Did not want Jeff making a custom speaker without an in room experience first. Can’t imagine he would want to take a return or be able to easily re-sell such a one-off speaker. Should have the towers before the end of January (can’t imagine I will not like JTR sound) - then I will green light the custom center. It will take a min of 8 weeks so it will likely be April before I have it. Delayed gratification for sure but probably the right way to go about it.

Ordered the 210rt's and 210rm for LCR, currently have 1099's and Volt 8's. How well will the Volts do as surrounds for the 210's? Another question is, I have 2 PSA XS15se's subs and was wondering if they would blend with the 210's. Will I have to upgrade my subs to keep up with the 210's? I have a 12' x 15' x 9' room. Thanks for your input in advance.

I had an usual situation, where in order to sell my rural home, I had to include all my gear in the sale to seal the deal... I would have never traded in my 215s otherwise..

They also could put out serious bass when run in full range!

Ahhhh. Congratulations on house sale but sucks gear had to go. What are you running now?

Hoping Jeff will have my 215’s done this week. Fingers crossed to get a taste of JTR sound in my room this month.

JTR on the way!

Well, finally unloaded my living room ML gear - placed my order yesterday! Lead time is a month so I'll likely need daily meditation and breathing exercises LOL. Went with 212RT + 210RM. I wanted the 212 center, but my TV already sits pretty high and I would need to raise it more to accommodate the new center...just didn't make sense for my listening room. I'm sure Ill be blown away soon!

The volt 8's are great, they are ideal surrounds. They get fairly loud and don't need a ton of power. You shouldn't have any issues blending your subs, won't be harder than any other sub. I've not heard them but specs look really good. PSA makes great stuff.
if they worked with the 1099's, they will be great with the 210's! the 1099's are really good speakers!

Blasting brown notes for 10 years and counting!

Thanks...right now I'm running my old Swan Divas (they were a mid 90's internet brand)...I'm debating whether to do dedicated theater round 2...Round 1 was lot of work..

JTR speakers lure you in...Asking 2 friends(who know nothing about stereo/HT) to help you move three 215's and an Orbital Shifter Sub onto a stage.." they asked why do you need two of us?"..."I need both of you, you'll see..., cold beer and chicken wings on me"

By the way I'm sure you will love that JTR taste!
