Dakmart is legit, I see it from the Denon site.
You're absolutely right. College is serious enough and your gears should already surpass many kiddo stuff out there, so you're good for a long time before being worried about spending more
Dell first shipped the MB8000 with UPS. I did not see any visual damage, but I heard some rattling inside one cabinet, and I hate that. Further inspection showed some gaps between the binding post plate and the cabinet (which suggested there might be leak) of another. I called Dell and they replaced it.
The second shipment was with FedEx. Well honestly the second shipment was worse than the first since one corner of the big box was punched in but I think the impact did not reach the sub. I have not seen any visual damage so far. They sound good though. BTW, this shipment missed the sub cable, and Dell again gave me a (good) discount for that.
It is unfair to judge the sound of the MB8000 right now since they need to be broken-in to sound good. I decided to keep the set, since they are warrantied for seven years.
Well, I am not a kid anymore though I am still in college
Will finish it this Fall.
We have a home and a kid. I went back to school to finish off something hoping getting more money after that.
