Glad you got it squared away. Now you can enjoy the heck out of them and have stress free Christmas.

I'll tell you guys if we ever get to meet in person. Don't worry, I have thick skin, but I'm not gonna make it that easy.

I hate when guys get new speakers and then sound like the biggest fan boy ever, but that's where I'm at right now.

What's amazing beside the imaging is how good they are at low and mid volume levels. everything is there, at the right balance, at all volumes.

That seems to go right in line with what everybody else is saying.

Sometimes it's the most simple things that are overlooked because we're too busy going over a more complex check list in our minds. Happens all the time. Sharing what the problem was may help other and future M2 owners in the future and keep them from banging their heads against a wall.

....Do it for your fellow M2 brothers...

I swear it's like the electronic circuitry inside the speakers that somehow boosts every little detail at insanely low whisper volumes. It seems no matter the volume, you can pick out whatever instrument or note that you want. It's bizarre.

Well, I will share my story anyway.

I hate painting so I hired a painter to complete my room. The paint was Rosco Supersaturated Velour Black, but that probably did not matter. For some reason, the painter painted over some of my electrical outlets. After sometime had pasted and the room was further along/functional, I plugged in the charger/cradled for my remote to one of these outlets.

Lucky for me, I did not leave the room because within a min or two the wall was on fire. I ran over to the outlet and unplugged the charger. According to my wife who witnessed this event, it looked like a lighting bolt shot out from the wall to my hand as I pulled it away. I took a deep breath and blew out the fire. Stupid, I know, but it worked and the damage was minimal.

Exactly! I usually want to keep turning it up to get more, but for the first time it's good right where it is. Incredible mid base at modest volumes, and all detail present.

Ok, one more and then I'm done for the day. Considering my first impressions(after the unspoken set up blunder), I thought the speakers were so revealing/accurate that they would make a lot of recordings sound bad. What's interesting is, songs I thought would sound bad are good, and songs I thought were good can be bad. The point is, I now understand what you mean by a window to the song. You get what is there. Nothing more, nothing less. And it's wonderful.

Exactly.

Thanks for the impressions. Mostly, folks post nothing, or nearly nothing after purchase..

"Hey what do you think?"......answer, "They're good". Oh, great, thanks for the insight, lol.

Funny youbsay that. I haven't cranked it in a while, but family out, haha.

Black Sabbath: War Pigs(remastered version). Amazing.

Followed by the SACD Pink Floyd: DSOM

That is an experience for sure.

Ears ringing a little. I'm good now for a while

Gooddoc,

I agree, we need guys here to throw up some honest opinions on their speakers. I read those myself, trying to extrapolate every detail, and apply it to my interests.

I would tell people reading this, consider my opinion about 5% or less of your research.

So you know what my reference is, I've had the following in my room for extended times:

Infinity Beta 50
JTR quintuple 8
SVS MTS
JTR 212 (reference or three way model)
Triad LCR gold
Yorkville 215
JBL PRX 635
JTR 215RT
JTR 215 RM
Quested LT-10( Amazing speakers)
PreSonus 315 AI

NOT NECESSARILY IN THAT ORDER

Thanks guys for leading me down this path

What are you using for surrounds? Or is this a 2 channel rig?

Well, I had an all JTR system. So the surrounds are JTR S8LPs. Center channel is a Quested LT-10, incredible speaker itself. Subs: a pair(slave) of seaton submersives.

Guys, another day with the M2s, wow what a speaker. Best I have had in my room, and not by a small margin. Nothing against the other speakers, but this is for real.

Not many reviews on here from other members, please speak up! But if you get the chance to listen to these, take it. I think you won't be disappointed.

@Gooddoc

Are you using your Marantz 7702 to EQ all speakers and subwoofers or do you have an external EQ device?

I currently have an Anthem AVM60 and I'm using ARC. I think I'm currently doing up to 5k for HT and 350Hz for 2 channel

Just experimenting. Not sure I'll stick with it or not, but I have found that, for HT, RC can improve the "bubble" of immersive audio. The tradeoff of SQ for "bubble" can be worth it IME since I don't try to critically listen to HT. So long as there is nothing so wrong with SQ that I get pulled out of the movie because of it, I'm good.
