I am putting together a home theater system and I could use some help. Right now I have a Yamaha RX-V673 receiver along with 3 Athena speakers for the L/R/Center channels. I am looking to get my rear channels and the Polk RM8 seems to fit the bill on a budget.

The room they are going in is somewhat large, the seating area is approximately 13' from the TV with plenty of room behind me. The issue I have is with the other half not wanting speakers hung on the walls behind the couch.

So the question I have is first, could the RM8 be mounted to the ceiling? Also, if so, could they be placed flush with the ceiling placing the flat side upwards so as to decrease their footprint? (I would like to avoid having them hang straight down 1' into the room)

Thanks in advance for any input you may have.
