Thanks, will do. These will be replacing a pair of Wharfedale Valdus which are also dual 8" but a smaller enclosure. Hopefully they won't overwhelm the medium sized theatre room they will be used in.

R-28f

You can't go wrong with either one....Don't listen to other critics who compared these to way more expensive speakers. That is completely illogical. At $450/pair, the R-28F have no comparison. No option listed here at that price even comes close. Of course the snobs will put them down. And yes, they have cut costs in certain areas, such as the finish, but the hi-fidelity is still there.

These showed up on yesterday and I hooked them up today. Overall very impressed. Came in a huge box with no damage. Very heavy. I will say that there wasn't a significant difference between my old Wharfedale speakers but noticeable. Maybe my expectations were too high or my old speakers were better than I thought. Still need to rerun the MCACC on my Pioneer AVR so that may make a difference but waiting until I get the bookshelf surrounds hooked up first. My only complaint is the grills seem kind of cheap and one of them keeps pulling out of the rubber grommets at the top, but otherwise I like the build quality and the finish has a cool texture to it. Great speakers for $450/pair.

R26f

I picked up these as door busters from HHREGG. For $299.98 a pair (+ Taxes) they sound great to me. As said, the grill is built poor. This was a upgrade to Boston Acoustics Classic CS2310.

I moved to new apartment and there isn't place to hook up the surrounds, From 5.1, I am down to 2.1 now. Klipsch R26F Towers paired to my Boston Acoustics CS SUB 10 (Down Firing). The towers are set up as SMALL crossed over to my SUB for anything 80Hz and below, sourced from PIONEER VSX 521.

I am loving it

I ended up buying a pair also from hhgregg.com. They were $400 with free shipping/no tax on Cyber Monday. I am going to return the pair I bought from Best Buy. Also purchased the matching sub R-12SW for $199 from Fry's. Just need to get the center to finish it off. Missed that sale when it was available from hhgregg. So far very happy.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but how are you liking the R-28F pair of speakers? Best Buy is having the same deal this Black Friday and I'm thinking of picking up a whole 5.1 Klipsch set from them during that time, including 2 R-28F front speakers.

Same question here. I have Synerfy F30, are the R-28F worth the upgrade for Movies?

Sony VPL-HW40ES / Silver Ticket 110"
Pioneer SC-97
Klipsch RP-450C / 2x RP-280F / 2x R-5650-S II / 2x F-30 / 2x CDT5800 II

Awesome, thanks for the reply.

And do you own or have any opinion on Klipsch's surround, center, and subwoofer pieces? I'm just looking to see what pieces would match the R-28F front pair.

Considering the R-25C for the center, the pair of the R-15M speakers for the surround, and the R-10SW or R-12SW for the subwoofer.

I went with the R-15M for surrounds, R-12SW Sub and upgraded a bit to the RC-62 II Center. Considering adding a second R-12SW if the price is right again this year.

Found this thread googling R-26F's lol. I also picked up 2 x R-26F's from Besy Buy black Friday deal. Fry's had a steal on a Klipsch RP-450C for $320 bucks. I also picked up 2 x R12-SW's. Between BB and Fry's you can get some deals on Klipsch equipment.I can't wait for everything to arrive so I can hook everything up and enjoy a decent home theater systems

I know this is an old post but I have the Klipsch setup for speakers and Onkyo TX-NR646. I got all the speakers except the Center on Black Friday 2015. I just bought the R-25C about 2 weeks ago at a Best Buy that was closing to join a bigger store. I love it. I still have to finish calibrating. I have to play with the sub and possibly buy another sub. If I add a sub will it take some of the pressure off the 1 sub?

Onkyo TX-NR646 receiver
Klipsch R-26F Fronts with Klipsch R-41SA Dolby Atmos Up Firing Speakers
Klipsch R-15M Surrounds
Klipsch R-25C Center Channel
Klipsch R-10SW and Klipsch R-12SW Front Firing Subs
