Btw, our email server at network solutions has been down. It should be back up in a couple of hours. I will be up late going through the rest when it comes online.

So if you have an email in queue and have not gotten a response over the weekend, chances are you so get one tonight.

However I cannot find a single pic of the back of the speakers so I can plan out a wall mounting solution.
Also the wall mounting brackets that you can purchase with the CX-8's need at least a link somewhere or pictures.
Some good quality pics on the website sure would help or even some from owners at the beginning of this thread.

Thanks.
Here is a quick cellphone pic of the mount installed on the speaker.
There is another bracket that mounts to the wall where the speaker slides on to.
It is attached using 2 anchors or screws.

I saw this photo on Facebook, the mounting system looks nice.

Also, I was wondering if there is a way to check on orders we placed besides contacting you directly?

Thanks.

Our ordering system sends a fulfillment notification once the items are assembled and boxed. We then send email notifications through FedEx or directly when shipment is booked for tracking.

You can always reach me here through PM or email. It's Sunday and I'm on here so as you can see we really never sleep around here lol.

We are pretty much caught up on back orders as of this week and we are back to our normal lead time which averages just around 4 weeks or one month ...roughly.

Jeremy, any indication when the 10s will ship? Going on two weeks now for the time I was estimated to get a shipping notification and still nothing. Thanks.

Just a heads up.

I got reports that we had some emails bounce back last night and early this morning.
We got hit with a little spam (as well as a lot of new emails!) and were over storage.

The problem has been fixed and if you did not get through, please re send or PM me here.

Thanks!

Get the CX-15's up and running! Right now I'm just running a L&R setup and I love it for music. They sound terrific and image great.

I've found that my Gamma 218's are extremely musical subs too!

Why was the CX-10 not in the pallet?

Hello fellow CX-15 owner. The sound stage they throw is absolutely massive, you'll be amazed at what they can do just in stereo.

I'm not really sure why they didn't arrive, but Jeremy took care of me.

So I hooked them up and got to listen to them for about 20 minutes before I had to head out for work. My initial impression was bad, very bad in fact. They sounded no better than the polks they replaced.

After 10 minutes a lightbulb went off in my head. I turned off audyssey, I didn't recalibrate cause I was so excited to hear them, and suddenly the 15s came to life! All of my buyers remorse went out the window. I now can't wait till the cx-10 arrives!

I now need to figure out how to go about bumping up the midbass on these things when they are set to small on my receiver.

Nope, I have one Rythmik F12 behind the TV and another on the back wall forming a straight line through where I sit. I'm sure Reaction subs are top notch but I really wanted servo subs.

I set my buddy up with dual LV12R's, after hearing them and setting up his system I don't really understand the hype behind the servo stuff. They didn't sound anymore musical that anything else that I've heard as far as good subs go. And they weren't any better for HT use either.

But they are nice subs.

There's a very clear difference between the different damping settings and I for one notice a big difference in the detail and "texture" of bass in music and movies that adds to the experience. They also extend *really* low. But they need to be set up properly - you can still have boomy, unrefined bass in a room even with Rythmik subs if they are poorly placed and not EQ'd.

Just wanted to chime in here that I ordered 7.2 set up from Jeremy about 2 weeks ago. 3 x CX-15s, 4 x CX-8, and 2 x Echo 18s. I am planning on using Volt 6s mounted to my ceiling as Atmos speakers. Trying to decide on what receiver to buy right now to power everything.

These are going in a 23x14x8.5 dedicated theater room that is currently under construction. My goal right now is to have the room finished by November (hopefully install the speakers in late October). Currently running the electrical and HVAC right now. Drywall is next, I plan to post my impressions in here once they arrive!

Rush85,

I think your decision should factor in a room correction solution. Either look at Audyssey XT32 + SubEQ (especially for your dual subs) receivers, or look at other options that operate separate from your AVR.

First off you have to consider the fact that you will be using seven channels to drive your mains, center and surrounds and the addition of two Volts for ATMOS, that's asking a lot from even a very capable receiver, my suggestion is, and that's all it is, to get an outboard amp to drive at least your LCRs, then you can get a less capable ATMOS equipped receiver and a three channel amp for probably less than if you purchased a high end receiver.

My logic is that with all the emphasis on the DSP functions of modern AVRs, less attention (or room) is left for beefy power supplies and capable amp stages, you can see the trend towards more bells and whistles and a lighter chassis. When shopping for AVRs look for the all channels driven power ratings, many manufacturers don't list these specs. Sound & Vision do publish these specs when they do the bench tests. I hope I made sense with this and helps with your decision.

Cheers Jeffrey

Isn't that the case with just about any vented, sealed subwoofer regardless of make and model,
I'm not saying anything negative about servo technology, to me it's a matter of preference, there's pros and cons with every design and just like you mentioned proper placement is critical.

I don't understand the term "textured bass" with a subwoofer, or the damping settings, does this change or alter the original signal to one's personal or perceived taste? Movies and musical sound is an illusion and it's just a matter of how well it's presented to make us believe it's actually happening in our room. That's the basis of my above question, "textured bass" and damping settings. TIA....

I tend to agree with you in most cases.
With shared power supplies, the "all channels driven" power tends to drop significantly when there is demand on all or most of the channels.

However, with the CX-15s, they are approximately 100db efficient. So it does not take much to drive them.

We once hooked up 5 CX-15s full range to a $200 Onkyo receiver. Could still get some pretty ridiculous levels before the receiver even got warm.

I'll never argue against more clean power on tap but it really does not take much to drive these.

I would have to agree, coming from a Sherbourn PA7-350 seven channel amp and now only having a Anthem MRX-710 to power my three CX-15 and four CX-8's and there's zero issues getting my setup to reference or louder.

What I mean is that with a servo sub set to high damping, you can hear/feel all the details in the bass, rather than just the notes blending together (smoother sound) as they do with higher Q, non-servo subs. For example, when the Kraken snaps the Black Pearl apart I can hear every individual sound that the engineers put into it. With music, the subs become a seamless addition to your mains. There are many advantages to direct servo and I'll defer to Brian Ding, the mastermind at Rythmik to explain them as I'm not the PhD. But I was asked what subs I have and that's my answer

Thanks for the feedback on the receiver. I am currently looking at possibly an Onkyo TX-NR1030 or a Denon AVR-X4100W. Neither of these can drive 7.2.4 without adding an amp anyways so I'd get a 3 channel amp to drive LCR.
