You would probably be better off asking @jdsmoothie , but I think you have the main trim levels (the global ones), and then the input specific ones allow you to boost or trim from that global level for a particular input. I don't think it changes the global.

The MT-110s I returned to upgrade to 210s are in the outlet. Anybody on the fence should take this opportunity and jump on them before they are gone. These speakers rarely show up in the outlet

I got the 210s. I did not have a need for a tower since I have cabinet that is perfect height for placing the 210s on top

Any suggestions for a stand for the 110's? I think I want about 30" tall. How high are the tweeters from the surface the speaker is on?

Crutchfield and Amazon have some reasonable ones. Google stands for heavy bookshelves. The horn is about 8 to 10 inches I would say.

Monoprice has the following

Some rough ruler measurments, and the bottom of the wave guide is 11.125" from the speaker base and the top of the guide is 16.625". The wave guide is about 5.5" tall, so around 13.875" from the speaker bottom is the middle of the tweeter. 30" stands would make them 47.5" to the speaker top, which is almost the same height as the 210T.

I've always preferred a more common 24" tall stand (a V1800 works too 😃), but I guess it depends on your seat height.

MA’s: Crowson Tech x2
Processing: Denon X4200, NU6KDSP, 3KDSP

I never even considered subs as stands, but the 210's both look and sound great sitting there, and it made up room.

Build some stands. A little bit of quality lumber and some trim can go a long way.

@marcdorfman Always liked the industrial, heavy duty look of these Pangea stands:

You are gonna live the accurate sound coming out of those 110's, congrats.

Thanks for the suggestions, went with the 28" Pangaea DS400s. Coming Wednesday, same as the 110s, cant wait.

Well done marcdorfman , I went with those stands for my 210s...pretty solid stands. I did have them on top of the XV15's for a while.

I never got around to writing a proper review because every time I sat down to write it it sounded like a paid advertisement for PSA… So instead ill just let everyone know what these speaker have taught me.

1. Crap in Crap out. Not all movies are mixed/mastered at the same level of quality. Some films the dialogue is muddy and takes a back seat no matter the speakers.

2. What speaker imaging is. Having not only left and right placement but depth added to sound is really a immersive experience. Im particularly away of it when playing video games and far off sounds such as an enemy in the bushes actually sounds further/deeper in the screen.

3. What high sensitivity speakers are. Reference volume is only pleasing to me, everyone else thinks its way to damn loud. With that said these get soo loud in such a pleasing way, everything is clear with no distortion.

4. Center channel not always necessary. With my unique setup a properly positioned center channel wasn’t possible. I haven’t yet found myself ever thinking that my sound is missing something. The phantom center is configuration works flawlessly with this setup. Friends and family I have demoed the sound to just assume the projector is the center channel.

I leave my Yamaha in Straight, so every now and then we watch 2.0 programming which comes out as 2.2. It sounds different, but even with the 210C off, it still sounds great.

Center Speaker Stand

I was speaking with Tom from PSA about a nice center channel stand that wouldn't be easy for a crawly/walky baby to knock over. He mentioned GWiz stands. Do any of you have a stand made by this site? I'm really interested in your impressions of quality.

Also, it looks like I may be joining the PSA family earlier than I anticipated! I'll keep you guys up to date. But I'm looking at the 210T and 210C combo.

Welcome, come on over to the fun side of sound! Is that the PSA slogan? No, well it should be. Perhaps a little cheesy. 😊

Excellent choice starting with the big guns that are the 210T and 210C. The combo pricing is a great way to save money. I don't have any products from that stand company, but you can build a super heavy duty 24" tall stand for $150 more or less, depending on the exact dimensions, finish, wood type, etc. I nearly bought a pair for my L/R MT110's but decided the subwoofers would serve double duty.

I'm sure if those are the stands Tom recommends still, they're of the highest quality and made in Pennsylvania it looks like.

@Sekosche

I wish I had time to build my own stands. Wife and I are busy with the little one. I got a response back from the GWhiz guy. It was a short email, and I don't feel like it answered my questions about stability. Not to say that his product wouldn't be stable, he just didn't give me the warm fuzzy I was hoping for. I'm just looking for a stand that can hold up the might MTM-210C. I don't want that thing tipping over onto the little dude. I think the 210T's are big enough that he couldn't possibly push them over.

That's too bad, and I hear you; I have another kiddo on the way in December, so I'm thinking I'll have to put up a semi permanent baby gate across the front stage, subs, and entertainment console. All of my gear is secure, just worried about pushing dust caps in and fiddling with knobs. You definitely don't want the 55lb 210C to fall over on a little one.

The basic stands from that company are made from solid oak it appears, so they should be pretty beefy as well depending on what dimensions one chooses. Hard to say though without trying one out and probably no returns on custom jobs like that.

I got a pair of basic, two beam support stands from GWiz a couple of years ago when I had JBL E50 monitors as fronts. They were quite stable and well made, and I had the cheapest option they provide. I just chose a decently sized base plate for stability.

Would you be able to post pictures? I think it'd help others to know the build quality on these stands. Their website is not the most advanced and I'd love to see more pictures of examples of their work. Thanks!

Ok PSA guys I'm getting very close to getting in trouble, scraping my system I have now for PSA. I've just become almost obsessed with PSA speakers and reading everything I can about them.
I have Definitive Technology SM 65 mains and center channel and SM 55 surrounds. So this is a big, big move. It's not gonna be right now but maybe by December I'll be buying 3 MT-110s for the front sound stage. Then I'll 6 months or so 2 more MT-110s or the SR version. I just put this DT system together so it'll be hard to justify the move but I think I gotta go for it. What are your thoughts? I wish to God I knew about PSA before I started putting this system together. Kicking myself I didn't research more and found PSA then.

Gee James, just what kind of "thoughts" do you think you're going to get in the Official PSA Speaker thread??

My first thought is; go big or go home.
