yeah, even with the angled 110sr. it's so much larger than the bipole fluance surrounds i'm using. oh and i agree 100%, i want the surrounds to match the front sound stage. i gotta make this work somehow.

i think the answer is i just need to buy 4 of them and figure out how to make it work haha. i'm torn right now whether i should spend the $ on seating, surrounds or a projector upgrade (they all cost about the same). decisions...

My bias would be to get your main surrounds done and leave the sides and add later, then projector and then seating. I am waiting for the 4Ks to get cheaper myself. I was planning to add atmos and acoustic treatments after upgrading my subs and fronts but decided to invest in getting a good 5.1 system first and I am happy I did. Now to add acoustics treatments and then atmos.

yeah even with cheap in ceiling dayton speakers, 4 channel atmos is incredible.

not sure if you saw, but the jvc rs420 @ best buy is worth taking a look at right now. i don't think it has enough lumens for my new screen but that deal seems really good.

No I did not see that. I would not be able to spend the $ on it yet anyways.

I was able to get in on that Best Buy deal, then I started hearing on the forums people saying they got their order canceled and refunded due a mistake or they oversold. Sure enough a few days later I got a cancellation notice via e-mail, then they sent me a notice that refund was in process. By now I was like ok I guess I gotta look somewhere else then to buy a PJ.. Then later on I get a new e-mail from them with an entirely new order number and they upgraded me to the 590 instead of the 570 that I originally bought. So I'm just waiting for pickup e-mail so I can go pick it up. Killer deal for $1,999.

that's awesome. i don't think a jvc projector is in my future sadly. moving to the acoustic spandex spcreen the gain is really low with white over black spandex (i've read it's about .7), and with my projector 19' away from the screen i really enjoy the epson's brighter image. guess i'll stick with what i have for now because i'm not looking to be another victim of the 5040ub.

Thanks for your interest. Tom said 2 weeks one week ago, so I’m hoping for next week. I plan to drive down to Ohio to pick them up. Tom’s been quiet here, but he did post on Audio Nirvana that just about all his new stock is spoken for: good times for PSA!

Tom told me the same last Monday and I noticed today that the money had been taken out of my account so hopefully two weeks is two weeks and not the Money Pit two weeks.

Is that a reference to the old Tom Hanks movie? It's been a while so I can't remember much..

Anyway, 99% of the time I don't authorize the capture of any funds for any orders until the day we ship. But I only have one week to authorize an order or it auto-cancels. Once that happens I need to call the customer, have them call the CC company. Sometimes that works and sometimes I still need to cancel the order entirely and then make the customer go through the whole ordering process again. So when we're back ordered I wait until I get a 24 hours notice from our merchant account app(usually 5-7 days after the order is received). Once I get that, I do authorize the transaction as long as I'm confident that the order will ship within a week.

All current speaker back orders should ship late this week or early next. We now have all of the cabinets assembled with crossovers installed. We're just waiting on the 10 inch woofers from eminence. Eminence hasn't missed a ship date in 5+ years with us...they aren't "mulligan" from Kelly's Heroes..

The main scene I remember from that one is the "laugh".

I remember feeling like this a few times. Minor cylinder miss on the chevelle. No big deal. Wire for cylinder 8 looks toasty---change that. Miss still there. Plug look bad, change that, miss still there. Pop the vale cover, reset the rollers...echeck the push rods. Nothing. Check the carbs, nothing. Go through the whole MSD system, nothing. Screw it, drain the tank and purge the lines/pump/regulators. New gas, still there. Mixture is good, standing next to it working the throttle by hand and putting my head RIGHT next to the engine to try to figure this out....seems to go away at a certain RPM...what a second...one more big rev...

Forgot to flip the fuel pump switch this time, carbs empty the bowls, lean out, blower backfire...with my head like 3 inches away. At least the pressure anti-death release worked. So it was only a 200dB shotgun blast to my head. Go do the blair witch stand-in-a-corner thing for a minutes to see if I'm still breathing. Came back, turn ON the fuel pump, start it up...miss is gone. Cue it.

i would imagine that jtr & psa speakers sound similar to each-other. i also considered jtr for my l/c/r but i was able to find more written reviews for psa. i also found many more psa owners here on the forums, some of which i reached out to and asked for their opinions on how they sound & perform, etc. i have no regrets with the psa towers, however i'd probably be just as happy if i had gone with jtr.

Any personal experience/comparison/opinions?
I have had all 3 and still have a system of 210T/210C and 212HTR’s.

I used to have 228HT’s also.

The 210T’s Sound very similar to the JTR228’s up to reference levels. The 228’s can take more power (1200w) and ultimately can reach near 130db. I can’t imagine a scenario where you would need that kind of output. They both have the same sensitivity and freq range. I think the finish on the PSA and the speaker in general is nicer looking.

It is likely that you couldn’t really tell them apart in normal use (210T vs 228HT). The 228 has a bigger waveguide and lower crossover but not sure that translates into any difference. I didn’t hear them in the same room as I sold the 228’s before I bought the 210T’s. But they really sounded similar. Since you would unlikely ever use the extra output of the 228’s it would make sense to me to save the $600-800 and get the 210T’s and C or save $1000 and get the regular 210’s

Not sure what 212 you were looking at, but if it is the 212HTR at $2299 then that is not a good comparison as they are so much more expensive and much larger. If you were looking at the 212HT again they are much larger and $500 more each. They will likely have more midbass and go much louder but again may be un-necessary.

I have the 212HTR’s and I do like the sound more than the 210T’s. Something about the high end on that 2 way compression driver really gets me with music, but this speaker is more than twice as much as the 210T and it doesn’t sound twice as good.

PSA is really hard (impossible?) to beat for the price.
