Gar I have never heard any of the 'C' series from Raidho's. But from what I read they sound slightly veiled compared to the 'D' series. I'm pretty sure the 'S' was discontinued when the Cx.1's came out. When I was at Tyler's demoing the Scansonic we did compare to the X1's. To me the Scansonic and the 'X' series sounded completely different. Where the 'X' series sounds extremely close to the 'D' series. Yeah my D1 trade-ins were there but we never threw them into the mix. I'm hoping when Tyler gets the X3's and Aavik integrated I can go back or he may have another demo.

Here you go but I don't know any dealers on the east coast
The MB1s with the Twin Stand (which has very nice adjustable feet): $3120

MB 2.5s: $3500

MB 3.5s: $5200 (which adds dual 6.5" side firing carbon fiber drivers and a slightly larger cabinet)

Yesterday I heard the MB 2.5's again. This time they had 70 hrs on them. All I can say is try to better the sound of these babies for $3500. They went quite loud with great bass response. Very good tonality from top to bottom.

Hey guys! Funny...I'm getting ready to take a certain someone's advice, and start a PMC owner's thread. Hope to see some of you there

As for Raidho/SS...sounds like you guys have done some A/B lately. What's the sweet-spot, dollar-to-performance wise? BluVette seemed to really love the little X1; though George said it didn't have enough bass? That looks like a $7k retail speaker?

What about the Dyn LEs; any impressions of the 1.4, or did you guys just hear the 3.4? 3.4 worth the money; better than the original, or say the Focus 260?

Thanks

CD: Congrats, no PMC speakers near me to audition if there was I would give them a listen, I did hear my friends Fact 12s as he brought them over for a weekend of listening and I thought my C2s bested them to my ears and so did he. But his room acoustics are different and they sounded better in his house. I have heard the Fact 3 just recently as well, both nice speakers.

Yeah; they're different Gar. I assume, neither the 12...nor certainly the 3; had anywhere near the (apparent) bass, of your C2s?

I say apparent, because the FACT line is very tricky that way. The 12, is rated...to 26Hz; the C2..."only" 28. Hell, my 3s are said to go as low as 35; but they don't sound it to me. And I'm used to (A)TL, having owned 2 pairs of PMCs previously. The FACTs are just a different animal, from the previous i-series I owned.

FWIW...the C2 was always Jax's dream speaker. I knew I'd never have the room for them, to run like they should. But the transparency of the FACT line, is addicting. Just like I said, over in the Dyn thread; when I came off the Aerial 6Ts...the FACT 3s came across small, and thin by contrast.

But then...I started hearing all those little cues; and the far expanding soundstage, and it all became worth the trade-off

For the MB 1.5's there is also an optional stand with adjustable feet.
Great intro pricing.. Does he also have the 2.5's and 3.5's? Before demoing ask how many hrs are on them.

Thinking about checking out the MB2.5s. Anyone had a listen? I have Totem Forest now. Anyone heard both to compare? I need to find a dealer to audition. Is there one in the ATL or Charlotte area?

I haven't heard the Totem's but I have heard the MB-2.5's. I'll start by saying as good as the Dyn C1's are if the MB 2.5's were around at the time I got the C1's I would have bought the 2.5's. The voicing is different compared to Dyn's but extremely well balanced from top to bottom. For the money the 2.5's are very tough to beat. But you have to hear them yourself. It is critical you hear broken in ones. I heard them with 25-30 hrs and they sounded good but when I heard them again with 70 hrs - Holy [email protected] I just wish I would have heard the 3.5's with more hrs on them too. Both the 2.5's and 3.5's have a very small footprint for floor standers which is nice.

Edit I can't find any info on dealer locations but they are at Nextlevelav - a suburb of Chicago

Very good to read. I have an email sent to Tyler inquiring about a possible trade for the 2.5s.

Every time he gets a few hrs on his they sell. He can't seem to get enough of them (the 2.5's that is).

Don't you have a Naim XS2? If so Naim has great synergy with Scansonic.

I had an XS2 for about 2 weeks. I started seeing the upgrade path was going to get expensive so I traded it in on a Uniti2 to just be done with it. This is all Rhett's fault. He keeps telling me how great the U2 and 2.5 combo is and others are saying the same about the 2.5s. I was worried about the bass on them but I think that is not something I should be worried about.

Raidho C-Centric was developed as a concept speaker, and it can be difficult to rank among the other models in the C series. Centric is simply in a class of its own, original and - yes, eccentric. The idea originated from the desire to achieve the ultimate 5.1 sound experience in connection with TV and home movies. C-Centric is design to be symmetrical, and this design makes it possible to turn the speaker 90° for optimal reproduction of the sound from the fifth channel - and it works!
Of course, the design and finish are the same high quality as the other C models, so visually, Centric fully lives up to the exacting Raidho standards in every way. Centric comes with a smart, elegant stand that rounds off and completes the aesthetic entity of the audiovisual experience.

Just curious; have any of you former Dyn, current Raidho guys...checked out the KEF Reference yet?

I'm buying deaf; but based on my experiences with LS-50s and R-300s; and, someone I know saying it's the best speaker he's ever heard...I'm psyched.

This isn't a sales job; just wondering if anyone has heard them, and had an opinion.

If considering HT you may want to think about the MB 3.5's.

Also I can't stress this enough. Make sure they are broken in before making any judgement of sound quality. They are good out of the box but a lot better after broken in.

I haven't heard the KEF's but Rick (Mr.SoftDome) sold his C1's and bought the KEF Ref. Not sure if he got them yet - on back order for quite a while. Send him a PM
