So that would mean dialogue in movies as well? Just concerned about the dips in the graphs posted in the upper frequencies, as the stock cd doesn't dip where the 2435h-sl does. Just thinking to myself that a flatter response would be more of an accurate reproduction in sound than one that dips. Just my thoughts and opinions on it, not trying to state facts.

I am assuming you are getting rid of the sides? You are going 5.2 then? Are you keeping the SC8s? Are you going to try the attentuators first?

Yeah, I'm trying to go back to find and re read all the comments of everyone's opinion on them. Just to get a general idea, which so far everyone is in an agreement with the upgrade being much more preferred. Did you also say that the 2453h-sl requires different size screws to swap out the stock cd?

Thanks.

Notnyt was kind enough to post the required screws. The stock 2432H screws are too long. I ended leveraging his info and just ordered them from Amazon and it worked like a charm.

EDIT: Your listing is OO stock. and, Beast made a bad suggestion to use the 1 1/4" screws. Do not use.

Does anyone know if it is 1" or 1 and 1/4"? I would like to know so I don't purchase the wrong item in the future.
Thanks.

Thank you for the link. With so many pages in the thread it's hard to remember which page you had posted all the info on. So 1" or 7/8" works. Thanks again.

1 1/4" is a little close, makes it annoying to get on and if any of the 2453h-sl aren't machined 100% correctly, may cause an issue. 1" or 7/8" is much better.

I ordered the 1" from my Amazon link above and confirm they work perfectly (sorry they are out of stock now..didn't realize that when I posted the link).

Sounds like making the change to the CD will only help the overall performance of the speaker.

I will definitely keep the upgrade in mind when the timing is right....or when I know I will have some time to take the screen wall apart.

If I was ordering some 4722's, I would grab some of the CD's and change them out right away...seems like a no brainer.

So if I don't mind the highs on the stock cd and listen to music a little bit, would you say that upgrading to the 2453h-sl I would hear a difference or benefit personally?

Thanks.

Yeah, both of those options are good. Just might consider it. Is speaker exchange the main place everyone is ordering these?
