LG 5.1 - broken dvdplayer/receiver - how can I use the speakers again?

Hi

I bought LG 5.1 surround system. It has 1200W RMS 5.1-channels - DVD player with 3D/4K and so on. The problem is that the dvdplayer, that also function as a receiver for the system is broken. I dont want to throw the speakers because they are good, how can I get them to work again? Is there possible to have any use of them in anyway?

I feel they must be thrown because it looks like they have special connectors designed for that dvd-player.

Thanks for help.

You need to buy another receiver to connect the speakers. You may be able to cut off the special connectors if they use regular speaker wire attached to the connectors.

This is why you do not buy dvd/combo receivers. Get a standalone receiver and separate dvd/blu ray player next time.
