Exclamation Speakers-purchase/set up-help!!

Hi, I look at this site often but this is my first post. I need help from the experts here. I currently have a soundbar that is not meeting my needs. I am looking to get rid of that and add an amplifier, and a left/right and center speaker. My only real store around me is Best Buy so I cannot physically try any speakers out sadly.
I am looking for suggestions on speakers and such. I have been looking at the KEF Q700 and similar but the price is going to add quickly with having to add the center speaker as well. My room is 15x15 with regular ceilings so not that big.
Any suggestions on something that would work with this type of room would be great. I am looking for the entire purchase-speakers and amplifier to be under $1500. I also was looking at Q acoustics 3050. I should add that I would like for the speakers to be white.
Many thanks for the future help that I am sure I will receive.
Ryan

I would go with Kef Q100 front, Kef Q200C Center and An SVS PB-1000 sub. or Bic Pl-200 which is a little cheaper.

https://www.svsound.com/products/pb-1000
A good sub and center are the most crucial pieces of an HT set-up.
If you were doing a 2.0 music set-up, towers would make sense since you're not adding a sub.
For the amp a Denon X1200 would be plenty.

cel4145 and sigpig like this.

Kef LS50,Q200C, Q100, SVS SB-2000, Denon AVR-X3400H, NAD 216, Panasonic 50" Plasma, Xbox One.
Bedroom: Kef Q100 ,JBL Loft 20, Bic F-12, Denon AVR-S710W, PS3, 32" Insigna LED.

Thanks. I was thinking floor speakers but could get some cool stands so bookshelves would work.

FWIW, I had towers in my previous set-up. I switched to better bookshelves and 2 subs and the sound is so much better now even with budget subs. Mind You, sub placement is critical to acheive smooth bass.

Q Acoustics makes great speakers but they don't offer a white center channel in the US yet so KEF would be a great way to go as suggested above.

Another way to go would be the SVS Prime Satellite package available in white for $1,200 including the subwoofer.

That KEF Q100 setup would definitely be a nice way to go.

Looks like Kef 100 is the way to go at this point. Thanks again all.

I wonder if there are any similar subs that come in white. Also, should I get stands for the 100's or try to bracket on wall? I am thinking it may be easier to hide the wires down on the ground and trying to put the wires in the wall will be difficult for me as I am definitely not handy. Hope that is the last question. Thanks again!

Probably not the best in terms of performance and value but the Kef Q400B sub does come in white.

The SVS SB1000 comes in white for a $100 premium over the standard sub; $600.

https://www.svsound.com/products/sb-1000

Plays down to 24hz while the KEF plays down to 28hz.

Thanks for pointing that out. I had not noticed since it's only available in black in Canada, unless I'm missing something on the website.

OP, you're better off getting the SVS sub.

So actually found a store tonight that sold Kef. They didn't have the 100s but did have the 500s. They are on sale for 599. I liked them plus I would not need to get a stand. Thinking I might do that with the 200 center and the recommended sub. 499 a little much for sub after everything else but it sounds like it is needed. If anybody knows of a cheaper alternative, I am all ears. Hoping to pick up tomorrow and then I just need to install which will suck for me lol.

I hope you mean $599 for the pair and not each. The Speedwoofer Sigpig recomended will outperform anything else in that price range. The Bic Pl-200 is cheaper at 329 but I wouldn't go any lower than that.

Based on max output CEA 2010 measurements (from two different sources, though), I'm not convinced the Speedwoofer is better than the PL-200, just a smaller sub.

Speedwoofer:

PL-200

So the slight advantage in output the Speedwoofer has under 30hz might be offset by the higher levels of distortion. So I think we have to wait for more measurements of the Speedwoofer's performance before knowing if it's better than the PL-200.

So here is the latest update. I wanted to update as everybody was so helpful. I couldn't warm up to the Kefs for some reason. It seemed too controlled for me. I ended up with the following:
-paradigm monitor 7
-Yahama rx-v581 receiver
SB-1000 sub
I hope I did ok. I just liked the monitors 7 better. I have no clue on amplifier as it was the store suggestion
Now I just need to set all this up, grrr...
Thanks again for listening and for help.
