End game speakers? Kef Reference 3, Focal Sopra S2 or Paradigm Persona 5F

If you had to stick with one of these speakers for the rest of your life, which one would it be and why? (Let's say you already have all the gear you want and need to drive these speakers)

I'd be looking at used Revel Salon 2's.

Yes definitely, I agree! The Salon2s are as end game as it gets but lets just say you could only get one of these 3.

Have not heard the new Paradigms but did hear the Kef Ref 5 and Sopras. I bought Sopra 3s. Kefs are very good though. I would probably of been happy with any of them.

What was it that made you pick the Sopra's instead of the Reference 5's? I found that the Ref 3s had better soundstage and the sopra n2s had way way better bass response.

The Vandersteen Treo would be my choice, rather than those.

i liked the Kefs but I thought the Sopra 3 had better bass then the Ref 5 and the sopras were more open and detailed without being bright. The Kefs do image great and have a nice tonal balance.

Have not heard the Paradigms. I liked the KEF Ref3 more then the Sopra 2, wider soundstage with a better 3D imaging, plus I liked the tone of them a lot more. Also, the Dynaudio Confidence C2 or the Raidho XT-2 would be highly recommended. I own Dyns right now but at this point I think if I was gonna spend that much I'd be between the Raidho and the KEF.

Dynaudio Contour 20, Focus 210C, DM 2/6, Hsu VTF3 MK5 HP, Oppo BDP-103, Naim Uniti Star, Marantz SR5010, 60" 4K Samsung LED LCD, XBOX ONE S

Sopra 2/3, or Persona 3F with two JL E112's.

As much as I hate to say it, I think the Persona is the best value by far. Don't waste money on the 5F, spend the difference on the subs and maybe even get the JL Audio CR1 crossover. That would still be under the 5F price and you'd get dramatically better sound.

Hmmmm,

Speakers to last the rest of my life? Well, I'd use speaker drivers, crossover components and cabinets that can take the test of time. Accordion fold woofers with cloth for 30 to 40 year durability, metalized poly caps and baltic birch cabinets with grills to filter out UV so they won't get damaged by the sun.

I'd be getting custom built speakers, cinema speakers etc. since if they break, I die! No foam, no electrolytic caps, no MDF, no thin grills, no delicate parts...

Saw 17 Audio SAW! Going to take your speakers and hit them with the RMS rating with pink noise...they stop, you die!
