Sound & Vision suggested in their review the T1s benefit from a bit of a tilt backwards, (not sure if they come with adjustable spike feet), as they are on the short side for towers and depending on the height of your couch might need minor adjustment to aim the tweeters at your ears seated on the couch.
I just adjusted them up about 6 degrees...hmm, I wonder if I should run Audyssey again after tilting them?

i think i have the b1's set at 90 hz , but i think they could handle down to 80 pretty easy, the t1's ,i imagine, will sound great at 60 or 80...

You can get away from 60-70 also but I think 80 best

Just to note, Audyssey is not "inaccurate". It determines the -3 db response for the speakers and sets the crossover accordingly. You can always set it higher, but should not set it lower (it doesn't apply any correction/EQ for a given speaker pair lower than the crossover point). 80 hz is, as everyone knows, the standard crossover point for LFE for movies but there's no "law". I have my BMRs and C2 center cross over at 60 hz, even for movies. Honestly, they handle it just fine.

Which would you guys choose?

I have the vertical space to fit towers across the front stage.

Emotiva T1 towers x 3 as LCR = $950

Emotiva T1 towers x 2 as LR, and C2 as Center (with 36 in stand) = $1,050

Reviews of the C2 have been great, but I've always heard if you fit towers or bookshelves vertically, that's the way to go.
What was your setup before the Airmotiv's?

I would if the microphone was higher than the tweeter before.

I'd set crossovers at least +20 hz above the -3db point...or +10hz at the very least.

T1 (purple) +0.60/–2.50 dB, 200 Hz to 10 kHz; –3 dB @ 56 Hz, –6 dB @ 37 Hz; impedance minimum 3.51 ohms @ 114 Hz, phase angle –71.31º @ 66 Hz; sensitivity 90 dB, 500 Hz to 2 kHz.

C1 (green) +1.74/–1.84 dB, 200 Hz to 10 kHz; –3 dB @ 84 Hz, –6 dB @ 68 Hz; impedance minimum 4.18 ohms @ 162 Hz, phase angle –51.26º @ 96 Hz; sensitivity 89.5 dB, 500 Hz to 2 kHz.

E1 (red) +1.35/–3.94 dB, 200 Hz to 10 kHz; –3 dB @ 90 Hz, –6 dB @ 72 Hz; impedance minimum 5.08 ohms @ 251 Hz, phase angle –45.46º @ 139 Hz; sensitivity 86.5 dB, 500 Hz to 2 kHz.—MJP

looks to me like 60hz is a good place to start the x-over.. of course the room will dictate variations... i too would re run room correction... note: that t1 graph looks pretty impressive to me, it makes me jones a bit...

I'd go 80 on the T1, 90 on the C1 and 110 on the E1.

i like both 80 and 90 on the b1, so the c1 sounds about right at 90.. i think i might try both 60 and 80 on the t1 ..

I'll drop my T1's to 60 and see if I hear a difference.

Lol...sadly, in this house, a Sony Atmos soundbar...which sounded like crap.

In the past, at a previous residence, I had a contractor finish our basement and install speakers in the walls for a 7.1 setup. Now that sounded awesome. I think I used Polk in-walls with a Pioneer AVR.

it may be very subtle.. the mid bass might just be a little smoother.. but you may notice it right away, it depends on what you are listening to ...edit : if you have a great sub you may be better off crossing at 80hz...

Personally, I think just good subs. I had 4 SB12-NSD (budget SVS 12 inch sealed) subs, and to me, they sounded better than my RP towers in the bass, and my current (and final)pair of sealed Rythmik F18 sound even better. YMMV. Certainly worth experimenting with.

I have my T2s set at 80 but thats because I have very good 2019 JTR 118HT subs
When you have a bad set of subs might as well let them sing

Set up #1 Speakers LR: Tekton Enzo XL ; Center: Tekton Pendragon Subs (2) 2019 JTR 118HTs
Set up #2 : QA3020i LR, Center: Emotiva C1 Subs (2) HSU VTF2 MK5,

I have two Hsu VTF3-Mk5's.

I haven't tried the T1's at 60 yet.

I am re-running Audyssey because I had to relocate my surrounds. They were blocked by my couch seatback.

I've now moved them higher and tilted down and closer to 90 degrees to my MLP.

I think this will sound better.

As for the T1's up front as LCR, I've listened to them in all modes, including Direct and Pure Direct, and they sound awesome.

I also moved them further apart an additional two feet and added more aggressive toe-in to see what that does to the front soundstage.

I will report back.
