Question Speaker recommendation??

Hello I'm new to the AVS community and I had a question regarding suggestions to new speakers I need to buy. I have a very small room so I am looking for bookshelf speakers. I'm also looking for them to have a wide sound stage without losing too much focus. Overall looking for rich enveloping room filling sound. Not too bassy as well since my walls are kinda thin and dont want to upset the folks. My budget is anything 200 or below. Please suggest any speakers that come to mind. Your contribution will be appreciated.

If you are looking for just 2 bookshelf speakers that sound great at a excellent price check out the Boston Acoustic's A26. Buy one get half off the other so would be $194 for two of them

I would also like to add that front facing bass ports are preferred

Sometimes Best Buy and others put the Elac b6.2's on sale 1/2 off. Superbowl sales are coming up and they might do that again so if you can wait a bit for sales then that would be a very nice pair of speakers for the price.

The Jamo S803 is a very nice sounding bookshelf speaker within your budget and also front ported. I wouldn't be too concerned about a bookshelf speaker having too much bass and even if that were the case, you can always adjust accordingly. Crutchfield has $10 returns for most bookshelf speakers if you decide they aren't for you. They are also available in 3 colors, black, white and walnut.

https://www.crutchfield.com/S-F2AU4E...803-Black.html

Here's a review of the S803 done by youtube reviewer Zeos, who does tons of electronics "entertainment" reviews. While the S803 is a really nice speaker, I think he went a bit overboard with his infatuation with it. If you have a quality pair of headphones you can get the general idea of how these sound from the video.

+1 on the NHT SuperOne 2.1 at $206/pair on Amazon.

Down the road, you could add a sub or 2 and have a nice full range system. I have always found that NHT's sealed bookshelf models integrate with subs more seamlessly and with less effort vs. ported bookshelf models.

The only one I'd add would be the Cambridge Audio but rear ported which the OP doesn't want.

I'll convert that list into a format you can use as I still use Lotus after 30+ years believe it or not.

I have no idea what Lotus is, but sounds good. A text file that you can email will work, or a word doc, or google doc which you can share over, well, google docs!

Oh and OP there is also Wavecrest HVL’s which are sold through Ascend Acoustics for $150 a pair.

Leave it at 8 ohms and call it a day :)

Lotus was THE spreadsheet in the dark ages before you were born!

I e'mailed you the file that I converted from Lotus to OpenOffice.

Hopefully you can open it.
