I've heard the smaller T1's. The AMT tweeter is very good, but I already knew that, having owned a pair of Airmotiv self powered 5" speakers. My impression of the T1 was they seem a bit dark, but I only had half an hour with them. With proper placement they might have been a bit less bassy. But that is good, they do have plenty of bass. I don't know that I could live with them long term, I think my Salk speakers have spoiled me, they are so well balanced.

Give em a try, if you don't like them ship them back. Emotiva used to let you buy a return label on their account, much cheaper than buying at the local UPS store. You might ask them about that.
