What exactly is your end game for what you want out of your system? To be completely honest, to me it's all areas for improvement. I'm not a fan at all of Yamaha receivers, but that can probably slide for the time being. If I had to pick just one, the CS10 center channel would probably top the list. The Polk LSiM704 center would be a big improvement and the center channel and sub are the two most critical home theater components, IMO. What kind of budget are you looking at for upgrades?

I would concur with @MIX_MASTER_ICE . The LSiM 704c would be a good start for sure.

I purchased the lsim, i dunno, i learned more about audio as i assembled my setup, is my receiver underpowering my speakers? I know the tsi200's are probably over kill for surrounds and dont know if my sub is big/empactful enough for my current set up...

Polk are notoriously power hungry speakers. That AVR will drive your speakers, but is the lowest model Yamaha so you it may run out of gas if you like to crank it up some. The sub (not sure if you have 1 or 2) is pretty decent for HT use, but leaves room for improvement musically. That said, the sub(s) aren't an immediate area of concern. Upgrading the center as advised would be a good start. The LSIM 704 will be a significant improvement over the CS10 by far.

In the meantime here are some basic setup improvements you can make if you haven't done so already.
1) Sub placement. Look up subwoofer crawl on youtube.
2) Make sure your speakers (at least the fronts) are away from the back and side walls. The more space you can give them the better.
3) Run YPAO
4) After calibration set all speakers to small (this will buy you a little more headroom) in the AVR menu with an 80hz crossover to start. You can experiment with a higher or lower crossover, but don't set it lower than the default setting.

My sister in law has that center and it is fine; I know you ordered the LSiM but to me the weak link is the sub.

The CS10, from the TSi line, is pretty much the same speakers as the CS1, from the Monitor SII line. Cosmetic changes to the lines mainly. Neither the CS1 or CS10 are very good center channels. The LSiM704c should be a big time upgrade. That's going from one of the lowest lines to the highest line for Polk speakers.

I understand what you are saying and bought it for years until I actually heard the speaker at my sister in law's.

It sounded OK but was transformed after I fixed all the mistakes Audyssey had made to it during Auto EQ such as setting it to large as well as the front left/right to large with crossovers of 40hz and Dynamic EQ on.

I'm sure the LSim is better but I don't buy anymore that the lower Polk centers are not good if set up correctly.

In fact the CS/TSi line is far better than is given credit for here on AVS and are dirt cheap to boot.

You should upgrade the center for sure. The cs10 is meant to pair with the tsi200 for the front stage. I own these for my pc and I am about in process of replacing the cs20 center and my tsi400 front stage for the theater. I would at the least upgrade to cs20 to better match the towers as the tsi500 uses 6.5 inch woofers as does the cs20 for a more seamless sound and in movies the center does so much of the work.
