Monoprice Monolith THX Atmos Speakers Now Available

Looking for speakers that deliver excellence without leaving you broke? These Monoprice Monolith THX Ultra & Select Atmos speakers will do the trick.

The bang-for-buck champion speakers that I have personally auditioned—Monolith by Monoprice THX speakers, which were first shown at CES 2019, are now available to purchase. These speakers are outright amazing performers whether judged subjectively, or measured. I am listening to system containing these speakers right now and it's mind-blowing how good they are for the money, a review is coming soon.

I can't stress enough how incredible the 3-way THX-365C THX Ultra Certified Center Channel Speaker ($399.99) and  THX-365T THX Ultra Certified Dolby Atmos Enabled Mini-Tower Speaker ($499.99) sound taking care of LCR, with a pair of 2-way THX-265B THX Select Certified Dolby Atmos Enabled Bookshelf Speakers ($349.99) holding up the rear. Just add a sub for 5.1.4 Atmos with fidelity that is jaw-dropping at this price point.

Even used for stereo music listening, the THX-365T mini-towers are astonishingly high-fidelity, neutral, non-fatiguing, revealing speakers that punch way above their weight. These are my new price/performance pick for affordable-performance home theater speakers.

It doesn't surprise me that these Monolith speakers are top notch. The Monolith subwoofers and Cinema speakers currently out are also excellent.

A quick comment, I'm putting finishing touches on a hands-on review and I've noticed that there are some errors on the Monoprice website regarding these speakers, in particular under the specifications. So, I just want to give readers a heads up on that, and note that I have sent a message to Monoprice alerting them to this.

Would that be about them saying that there's a mid-range driver in the bookshelf?

Yes, the bookshelf units would be great for the front soundstage, as long as you don't need the extra output that the minitowers offer and you have a subwoofer to take care of the bass

I just posted the review. I don't think it's too far away, unless you have a particularly short ceiling.

They sound like they punch well above their weight and have some commonalities with the Andrew Jones Pioneer Elite line of Atmos enabled speakers.

Hopefully Monoprice will release similar models without the built in Atmos modules for folks that want in ceiling Atmos or simply want 5.1.
