Ceiling speakers to go w/ M&K S150's ?
I have a system of original M&K S150's that includes S150 LCR's, four SS150 tripoles and S10 powered sub. I've been extremely happy with this. It is in a small dedicated theatre (no parallel surfaces, double green glue sheetrock on isochannel, insulated walls & ceiling, etc.)
We are building a new house and will not have a dedicated theatre but rather a larger room that can seat more people and have a bar. I'm planning to re-use the S150 system but would like to add height speakers. Amp will likely be an Anthem MRX 1120.
My initial thought is four M&K IC95 or four M&K IW95 or M&K IW950 or similar. This is pricey but I assume would be better timbre matched than other options. Not sure if it's worth it though. I'm leaning IC95 for cost.
The ceiling speakers throughout the rest of our house will likely all be Paradigm. Either P656-R or E65-R. I'm wondering if something like the E80-R would be a better option than the M&K's. I'd also appreciate any thoughts on the P65 vs E65 as well as the possibility of mixing them with the E's in more critical locations.
