would qacoustics 3000i series be comparable to RSL or SVS? I haven't heard of company before but speaker certainly looks great!

Never been called that one

However I have been called;
- Slim Shaky and Shaky Ray, both from my gift I got. During the Golf War back in 91, having the shakes all the time.
- Also Jug, long story involving a Jug of beer.
- One of my friend on this site. Like to call me Darth, and actually like-it
- Also been called Sugar, for Sugar Ray.

Since there is too many Ray's on these threads. I will from now on sign as Darth

Darth

From a sound perspective, QA would be on a par with them, if not superior. That decision is always in the ear of the beholder. Check out the reviews of the 3020i and 3050i. However, I would not invest in any of their sub offerings. Better to go RSL or Rythmik, or HSU ... etc.

Thanks.. I like 3050i look but concerned about mounting 10" inch bookshelf speaker as a surround sound speaker at ceiling level.

I guess since mix and match is ok, I could find some low profile speakers for surround sound (rear) speakers?

I'll buy SVS or HSU subs.

Check out Rythmik and Monolith also.

When EBay has sales, those Monolith subs are easily the best value in the game.

Leave it at 8 ohms and call it a day :)

With that in mind, I'm looking for $1k-1.5k 5.1 surround sound system to be installed with new TV.

Based on little search on this forum (and similar), it sounds like expert opinion is Bose is bigger brand name but there are better systems available at same price point.

Could you help me with building system that would be great for movies and music? I have open floor room which is about 17x20.

If mix and match of speaker is required I'm open to that idea.

Options I'm evaluating are,

1) Bose Accoustimass 10
2) SVS Prime 5.1
3) RSL CG3 5.1
4) Your custom setup (~$1000+)

Please let me know which system is better or I should just trust and go with brand name like Bose. Thanks for your feedback.
I just ditched an Acoustimass system for RSL. Trust me, you wont be dissapointed!
