Need new bookshelf's for bedroom

I finally got a BMR center so those are now in the Family room, so need to replace those. Frankly, I never thought they fit in that room anyway so I don't feel a need to replace to that level. Most listening is in a chair, off axis and 4-5 feet from the left speaker. Also thinking about something bottom ported so I can move the stands back a foot or so...

Love my LS50's but looking to spend less... These'll be powered by a Bluesound Powernode2i.

Any thoughts???

Living Room: Samsung 65" KS8000; Oppo 203; NAD 758V3; Philharmonic BMR L/C/R; Elac B5's Rear Left/Right; SVS PB2000
Basement : BenqHT3550; Denon x4300; SVS Ultra L/C/R; Prime Surrounds; Prime Elevation; Infinity in-Ceiling (7.1.4) Dual PSA V1500

That's a nice sound quality sub so good there. Just wondering as the RSL and Ascend's have smaller drivers and don't go as low.

If you like the Kef sound, maybe some Q150/350's. They excel with off axis performance.

Infinity R162s are back on sale for $200 a pair. Those are definitely worth a look if you're wanting to minimize spend but retain some clarity/dispersion characteristics of the Kef.

NHT Superone 2.1 are less than $100 each. Just changed out my Superzero 2.0s for these. I use them in my bedroom with a polk 440 sub. They were a nice upgrade from the Zeros, they have enough bass to use without a sub if needed but with the sub it's much better. Acoustic suspension, nice silk dome tweeter, wonderful voicing. IMO hard to beat for the price.

I use Reva 2s as my Surround speakers and they are VERY nice. I was surprised at how well they kept up with the BMRs with a sub. Heartily recommended.

If looks could sell a speaker, they sold me...wow.

However I don't think they are for me. I know I shouldn't judge before hearing them but they are a laid back, easy listening type of speaker, from what I read.

if the other wharfedale's are any indication , then yep.. lucky for me , i love my 10.1s .. .. edit:.. i get the feeling that the reva's are 10.1's that put their "big boy" pants on(better cabs &drivers)...

Nice, I use the diamond 10.2’s on a bedroom dresser myself and really enjoy the sound, I’m sure you will love the Revas in your setup.
I’d certainly like to hear your take on how you feel they compare, differ from your current 10.1’s once you’ve had a bit of a listen.
Enjoy the new speakers.

I also would be interested in your impressions when you do get them. Since I have the 10.1s as well, it would be nice to hear how the revas compare. I made my big jump for music listening and am quite happy now though.

Very good looking speakers indeed! Remind me somewhat of the RBH red burl that were really nice to look at, although from the pics the revas look even better!

Yup! It was scary spending that much, but at the time I didn't know if there'd ever be a chance again! Now that they are still available I still gotta be happy in saving some cost at least. If you're ever up in Denver feel free to look me up and I'll be happy to give you a listen

FWIW, I have some WD Reva-2's. They have much better low-end and high-end extension than my old 10.1/10.2's. They also have a much better cabinet (it's huge for a 5 inch woofer!)

Downside is that the mids are colder/more sterile than the lush, buttery 10 series Diamonds. They are even less warm than the essentially neutral 200 series.

It's a higher-end product and I think for $500-$600, I'd take it over my old Klipsch 600M. The Reva goes very deep (even deeper than the bigger Klipsch) and haas a nice sparkly tweeter that borders on too sparkly. It's a more forward speaker than the typical Wharfedale to my ears. Very nice.
