Best sound column HT mains narrow width

Greetings - Newbie here - I am looking for a the best sounding column speakers that are no wider than 8"+- for mains in surround system - want mating sonic characteristics for center and rears- Also want premium build and contemporary cosmetics - Currently have Snell K7 mains 7 LCR Surround and CLS.5 surrounds the mains are bit too wide but real issue is using stands with several 2-4 yo grand children around - safety issue - Have consider Paradigm - any thought greatly appreciated

I have 2 pairs of Paradigm Millenia 200s and I think they look and sound great. They have been discontinued so you need to look for used ones. As with any slim speaker you are going to need a subwoofer to cover the bass portion.
