Atmos overhead speakers for 5.1.4

Hi guys, need your opinion. In my room, 18 x 13 x 9, I am getting 5.1.4 speaker setup. Wiring is almost done and I am going to reuse my existing BP8060ST and bipolar surrounds as my fronts and rears. Center is also from def tech. For overhead, I am not finding much details inline with proper angle and dispersion details. So here I am looking for some recommendations. Also, how's everyone's opinion on Focal 300 ICW8 ?
Thanks

They just need to be 30 to 55 degrees from your seats for front and rear height. Angled to your seats is best.

I'm strongly considering the new PSB Alpha P3 as my front runners mounted up there. It seems you get great, balanced sound from such a small speaker. You just need to figure out mounting brackets.

For something ready to go, RSL Outsiders would probably do well, though I haven't seen anyone report back on them yet. Another plus is you can get those in white to blend with your ceiling. They also make an in-ceiling speaker.

Take a look at Triad's InWall Bipole Bronze/4 Surrounds. We install these in the ceiling all the time for rooms with ceilings of 9 feet or less and they sound great. Very wide dispersion without sacrificing localization.

Thanks. This is the kind of advice I was looking for. Unfortunately, I don't want to put more than $700-800 at the moment, as I am already heavily invested in speakers. Btw, these are remarkably similar to my living room Def Tech ceiling speakers UIW RCS II https://www.definitivetechnology.com...cts/uiw-rcs-ii. I have 3 of these along side UIW RLS II as my fronts downstairs.

If you like the other DefTecs, then why not the DI6.5 or DI8R? I actually use the DI8R and quite pleased with them as Atmos speakers....yeah, above that budget by a bit, but you can knock that price down if you know where to go....

GoldenEar Invisa 650 are at $300 each but could get close if you know where to go.

For atmos on a budget, the Focal Sibs are great! I have 4 and paid about 100 each. They come with a built in bracket for wall or ceiling mounting.

Thank you all. I snagged 4 of Def Tech Di8R for $815 from an authorized seller. I have 30 days to try them. In the meanwhile, if I find something around the same price point, I would try to get it as well to do a real time comparison.

Nice! I think that's a good price. Let us know how they work out for you.

I picked up a pair of those this weekend. I have a pair of PSB Alpha A1s from a few years ago for front heights; I'm curious to see how they match, since the driver dimensions are pretty much identical...
