Need advice on my new subwoofer ML Dynamo 1000

I posted a few months back in the Martin Logan thread and finally got off my ass and purchased my upgrades but I am having an issue:

Front: Motion 60XT
Center: Motion 50XT
Rear Surround: Motion 40
Receiver Onkyo TX-RZ920

Sub- was JBL SP120ii that I had for years and just "upgraded" to a Dynamo 1000. Never had a problem with a Sub until today

Sub settings are: Bypass LFE and have the volume turned to about 33% Phase 0. it is plugged into a tripplite IsoBar (same spot the JBL was plugged in).

I left the crossover settings of 80HZ (THX) for everything and have all speakers set to "small", the sub was working fine and after about 10 minutes worth of use it pops intermittently when it's not active with a signal within its frequency range. When I do the sound test on the AVR you cannot hear a pop, when you unplug the RCA you don't hear the pop, when it is active pumping out sound its not popping either. If I start screwing with the crossover settings and knock all of them 10hz above the min, and enable the double bass; the pop sound is greatly diminished, but still there. Is this a crossover issue (with the settings mentioned above, oh LFE level is -infinity dB)? or is this the dreaded ML sub-woofer popping issue? or something else?

Thank you guys for the help!

This sounds like the Auto On/Off feature.
RayGuy likes this.

Leave it at 8 ohms and call it a day :)

Can you return it and buy a different sub?

SVS has free returns.

Sadly your sub does not have an "on" button, just "auto on."

Sounds like the amp is going bad. It happens. Not much you can do other than get it fixed or replaced.

That is exactly what it was. Contacted the place I purchased it from and they had martin logan send me a new amp directly, quick install on my end and it's perfect!
