Jamo S 809 HCS (5.0) or Klipsch R-820F (pair)

Hi guys,

I'm in doubt of buying Jamo S 809 HCS (5.0) or Klipsch R-820F (pair). What would you choose between these two and why? I'm not strict with surround or stereo, everything is an option and the speakers' purpose would be for movies, Spotify and Audio Technica AT-LP120 turntable. Also, I would like to buy Denon AVR-X2500H. Please tell me your opinion, is Denon AVR-X2500H good in combination with one of these two speakers? My budget for the speakers is 880$. If something else comes to your mind, please, feel free to recommend different speakers or AVR.

I'd avoid the Klipsh R series and go for an RP series tower like the Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-5000F

The Jamo system is pretty good for the price. Where are you located? Can you visit any Best Buys or other Audio store to try anything out?

If you want a killer pair of towers and a great price may I suggest the Polk LSiM 705 . $350 each after $100 slickdeals rebate. It is one of their top of the line towers.

Those are great recommendations, huge thanks. It would be nice though if the price is a bit lower, maybe 50$ at least, for Klipsch Premiere and Polk. I'm from Serbia and prices for Polk and Klipsch in Europe generally are circling around 420-450$. I'll try to find some good audio store to try something live. Those Jamo speakers are definitely looking good and there are many positive reviews but I'm not sure if they are really that high-quality to go side by side with Klipsch and Polk.

Jamo is owned by Klipsch. Klipsch is known to have ear piercing treble on their lower model lines. They've have been reported to be much less fatiguing with the latest version. What else do you have available to you?

Kef LS50,Q200C, Q100, SVS SB-2000, Denon AVR-X3400H, NAD 216, Panasonic 50" Plasma, Xbox One.
Bedroom: Kef Q100 ,JBL Loft 20, Bic F-12, Denon AVR-S710W, PS3, 32" Insigna LED.

The Denon 1500 has nearly identical specs and 15 less watts/channel but 80 watts/channel is plenty.

So you could save some money there for you speaker purchase.

Can you get Q Acoustics?

Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with JAMO C97 tower speakers?

I was looking for a musical speaker for a 2 channel stereo setup. I didnt want a dedicated subwoofer for music just for movies. I have a cap 118ht for movies which is more than enough for me.

I wanted some towers that were great for music that got to 30 Hz or less so there was not need to have a sub. Fast and tight bass is what I'm hoping for. Any recommendations?

I've have Definitive BP10s and BP 30s for movies..currently have KEF reference model ones and they are great but lack the bass im looking for.
