Revel Salon 1: 4" Midrange Problems

Purchased a pair of the original Revel Salons in 2003.

One of the 4" midranges has decided to quit.

Revel / Harman / Arcam have told me the Salons are so "obsolete", the titanium midrange is not available from any of their suppliers.

They suggested I speak with George Meyer in Santa Monica - I'm in Las Vegas - to see if they might be able to "repair" the midrange.

Happy to talk to them, as Morris at GM and I have worked together before.

2 questions:

1) Are these midranges, in fact, repairable?

2) What other "aftermarket" midranges might be "similar" to the Revel Salon?

Hard to believe there is nothing available through Revel / Harman / Arcam.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I would join http://www.audioheritage.org and post there. That members on that forum should be able to either point you in the right direction for repair or replacement.

Thanks for the lead.

If I find anything there, I'll let you know.

Anyone else have suggestions?
