Home Theater recommendations with an in-ceiling speaker setup

I just moved into a new home which has in-ceiling speakers in my living room, porch and bedroom. I have already looked up some options for an AVR to drive these speakers with multi-zone, multi-source capabilities. However, I also need guidance on a 3.1 speaker setup to complete the home theatre experience for my living room

1) Your budget. ~$2,500 - $3,000
2) Your listening interests: 60% Movies/TV steaming, 35% music, 5% gaming.
3) Your existing audio equipment (make/models) if any. - Considering to purchase the Denon AVR-X3500H to drive the home theater and the ceiling speakers.
4) The size of your room. Please also mention if there are adjacent open areas and how big they are (important for subwoofer choice). ~32ft x 16ft. Left side of the living room continues to an open kitchen area.
5) Any placement restrictions. No speakers in the rear of the room. Prefer wireless speakers.
6) Any aesthetic or size concerns. TV is mounted over a fireplace so aesthetically speaking I'm looking for tower speakers, preferably wireless
7) Any equipment you are already considering (or would not consider). None
8) Any particular audio sonic signatures you know you prefer (e.g., you are a basshead, you have a preference for bright treble, etc.) - Balanced

I just bought the 3500 for my family room and the 3600 for the TV room. Hoping to have an opinion soon.

The 3500 seems to be a great price right now. Not sure if the 3600 is worth twice the price but I wanted to get a bit more future proof out of it.

So you want wireless towers which somehow are powered by a Denon 3500?

You need to clarify as that makes no sense.

Denon supports HEOS wireless speakers but none of them are towers.

This is the only one that is designed to be used in stereo pairs, but not surround I don't believe.

Sorry for the confusion, was thinking of multiple different things while typing the post

I'm looking for recommendations on mid/center and L/R tower speakers to drive it along with my pre-existing ceiling speakers through the Denon AVR (not wireless of course). But I was also looking for optional recommendations on wireless satellite speakers at the back of the room to complete a 7.1 surround sound setup. My immediate need is to just get the front tower and center speakers sorted.

I live in Seattle, Washington so I'm not close to any of them, I guess the closest would be Funk Audio in Vancouver but I'm travelling to SFO next week so NHT is also possible i suppose.

I'm going to guess you won't make it across the bridge to Richmond to NHT.

But if you do don't buy anything as their Amazon prices are cheaper if you find something you like.

Perhaps the C4 which is $720 each on Amazon.

Thank you for the recommendation!

But given that I'm not located in a place that is geographically favorable to visit and test out the speakers at most of the branded retail stores, I'm thinking I could rather consider all options, buy and compare brands that have a lenient shipping and return policy. What alternative speaker setup (optimal with the Denon AVR) would you recommend if so?

The best place to find excellent brands with good return policy is Crutchfield.

Use their speaker comparison tool to do that; best results would come by renting their headphone setup and should you buy speakers they will refund the cost of that rental from the price of the speakers you end up with.

Unless you have headphones that are on their list of course.

https://www.crutchfield.com/p_264SPK...it-Rental.html

https://www.crutchfield.com/S-wK7s7w...e/default.aspx

By using that tool you can whittle down to 2 pairs of towers with $75/pair flat return shipping fee which will actually get deducted from the rewards points you earn from the speakers you choose to keep assuming you end up liking one of the two sets.

Towers to listen to using that tool:

Klipsch RP6000f
Wharfedale Reva 4
PSB Imagine X2T
KEF Q750 or Q550
Wharfedale Evo 4.3
Revel Concerta2 F35

Thank you for the recommendation on the tower speakers. I have started looking them up already and I'll definitely leverage the return policy from crutchfield to compare atleast 2-3 of these.

Also, I realized I wouldn't have a need to use an additional HDMI out on X3500H so I felt I would rather save that and get the more recent Denon X1600H. Will this AVR be sufficient to power any of the speakers you have recommended?

I have been considering SB-12 for the subs but I guess it may not be required for some of these speakers correct? Should i consider it once I have decided on the towers?

Oh that's cool! What setup did you recommend him? I'm new to this and so far after much research I have only figured out the AVR that fit my needs. Deciding on the speakers seems like a much bigger exercise.

I use the GoldenEar Invisa HTR7000.

The tweeter is good and I like the angled basket that helps in aiming the sound.

You could spen less but you could also spend much more too.
