Yes the Canton can work for you, and I would take them over the Micca -- what will you be doing for a sub

I already have a sub that I have hooked up to my current soundbar. so those canton speakers are decent?, or at least better than the micca's

I've used the GX.3 (similar, but not identical). Considering that they have 4" drivers, they are pretty good.

The Miccas are tiny. (Two 3" woofers.) I've never heard them. I'd be pessimistic about their low-frequency response.

The NHT SuperZero 2.1 and SuperOne 2.1 get a lot of love here. I haven't heard them.

The RSL CG3 speakers are small, and (I think) pretty. RSL offers free returns, should you not like them.

Are these the ones you are looking at? Pretty much a no-brainer. Also, I would aim higher than a SoundBar sub

yep, those are the ones. and sorry, not using a soundbar sub, but a full-blown sub. my old Yamaha soundbar has a sub out. thanks for the advice on the cantons. saw the 4", that's what interested me over the micca's. as I said, have a full blown 7.1 in the basement, and this is just a temporary upgrade in the Livingroom. long story
