Question New AV system for my 24sqm living room

Hi everyone,

I am living in Europe and I am looking to buy a 5.1 speakers system for the living room.

Already decided that the AV receiver will be Denon AVR-X3600H but, I don't know if I should go with Klipsch or Q Acoustics or other speakers that fit for music that will come from a turntable, streaming service and will be used mainly for quality sound in the living room during the evenings, rather than parties

I was looking also at KEF but they look like out of my budget at the moment. I am looking at a budget of around 2500 euro total, AV Receiver plus speakers.

Below is my list so far:

1 pcs - Denon AVR-X3600H
2 pcs - Klipsch Reference R-620F Black
2 pcs - Klipsch Reference N 41 m Black
1 pcs - Klipsch Reference N 52 °C Black
1 pcs - Klipsch R-100SW

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

The loudspeakers make a much bigger difference to the sound. For 5.1 I'd say that receiver is overkill and the money better allocated to better speakers. I do like Denon and have found the Audyssey room correction to smoothen response, I just don't think you need 9 channels and all that. Get a 5.1 Denon and the KEFs it sounds like you want. I would also strongly recommend spending more to step up to a more serious sub, at least 12" woofer and 500+ watts. I'm sure others will chime in with all kinds of specific recommendations...whatever speakers you get, be sure they have an easy return policy. Your ears in your room may dislike even "good" speakers.

Your second list looks way better than your first. I went down the Klipsch R series road a while back. Hated them. Had to purchase without auditioning. My fault. Way too bright, almost hurt listening to them. Returned or sold every one of them.

@MRAYB

Got it, will not go that path in this case.

Kudos!

Being you're in Europe have you tried Fyne Audio. They do have 5.1 package for the F 300 series. Price at Richer sounds in Great Britain is 999 pounds. May want to check out their models.

Yes, that list I like better.
- Don't forget my 10% advisor fee
- They all say "Q150" which I assume is just a typo, I can see the models. I like 3-way centers and with the woofers the KEF coax is a good approach, where the woofer of the coax is really just midrange.
- Many will tell you to get a different brand of sub. It's true somewhat more money from other brands can get more output. But...it's kinda cool to keep it all KEF. I'd spend another $100 to get the 12b; bass is all about cone area and stroke, especially for sealed designs like Kube. Note that the EQ appears to be fixed presents, not like some (ELAC and others) than can do room correction over a phone app.
- Also note the covering on the sub...do you have cats? Dogs? That will NOT be a good cover for that, or if you live in a dusty area. https://www.avsforum.com/review-kef-...-12-subwoofer/
Good luck! You can host a post COVID listening party someday...
