In Wall Surround Speaker Recommendations - Def Tech RSS II vs Triad Bronze/Silver

im redoing my basement media room, see previous post LCR 2k per channel recommendations.

im 99% decided on my LCRs, JBL HDI 3800/4500 and now im considering replacing a pair of Paradigm Surround 3s.

im considering in wall as they surrounds are already protruding near a walk through area .

ive narrowed it down to the Def Tech UIW RSS II or the Triad Bronze/Silver in wall surrrounds.

i need enclosures as one of the mounting walls is open to an unfinished area.

Anyone have any feedback on the 2 options or if should be looking at other options/

How did you narrow down to these? Of the two mentioned, I’d pick triad buy a mile, or more. Also, why not some JBL studio IW55? They’re more likely to match the HDI(nice choice btw).

You can get Revel in walls which would match better as they should be voiced similar to the HDI stuff and you can purchase the backer boxes for them which are also fire rated and stuff.

Leave it at 8 ohms and call it a day :)
