Question KEF Q750 or Paradigm 700f

Hi folks,

I am torn between the KEFQ750 and the Paradigm 700f. I am leaning towards the paradigms. Which one has more ummmpfff or bass to it. I've read that the KEF is more laid back and I know the answer is to demo, but I am not in a position to do so.

Room setup: not a dedicated theater room, but will be paired with surrounds and subwoofer
Requirements: White Finish for the outside
Primary Usage: Movies and music
Budget: Around $750ish a piece (recognizing the Q750 are a bit more in today's world). The 700f can be had likely for $600 a piece.
Location: USA

I am open to suggestions as well.

Thanks!

I auditioned comparable Kef and Paradigm speakers and chose the Paradigms.
My wife and I loved the clarity and precision of the Paradigms over the Kefs.
Maybe order in a bookshelf pair of each to audition?

I've been in a HT with Q-Series, and it sounded pretty good really. I too compared the (previous) R-series to Paradigm Prestige, and did find those laid back as well. Not necessarily in a bad way, but I did go with the Paradigms - they just seemed to add a bit more overall to the performance, bit more "lively", whatever that means (), and just fit my preferences a bit better.

FWIW - I've never heard the 700F, so I can't speak accurately to at least that particular comparison.

Let us now what you think once you've got them, and have had a chance to give them a good listen!
