Now I'm no professional reviewer. The speakers and all my gear are overkill for the room I'm in, so it boils down to set them up, run ARC and listen. As I mentioned the upgrade for me is very apparent. If you can setup and in home demo, give it a shot. I dont think you will be disappointed.
Thanks Kevin for your input, really helpful! Now if I can get a good price for my Studio’s that would really seal the deal.

You should have no problem with that. Sign up for the 20% upgrade coupon from Paradigm. I know my dealer didn't ask for me to bring in the speakers I was trading in, just needed the code. Though if your buying a whole setup you maybe able to get a few extra % points off. Squeeze for everything possible. For me I got everything for $6300CDN before selling my 100s and 690 which I got $2000CDN. Then sold my ADP590s for $650CDN cause I had to have the matching 25C surrounds. So for $3600CDN/$2750US out of pocket I had my new setup. You should get double for the 100v5 that I got for the v3's. The CC690V5 is a highly sought after centre and very tough to find on the used market so it usually gets premium $$$ when selling.

When I signed up for the discount I only received $1000 for the pair. I think I can get more if I sell on my own, and I need to give my dealer a call. Thanks again for the info.

ARC makes a big difference with the great sound you are hearing, I couldn’t recommend it enough. I also like how the Prestige grills are very thin and light, so the sound isn’t being interfered with. I found the shiny drivers distracting sometimes without the grills when watching movies.

That's what I figured. Since Paradigm is offering the 20% off, you maybe able to squeeze another 5 or 10% from the dealer

I have to re run the ARC. Forgot the initial input of distance from speakers so not sure the effect on the results.. With Arc I like the ability to calcilate settings for different profiles and try them out.

I took a chance today and picked up the Center 3 V7 at an attractive closeout price. This thing just dominates my CC-370 V2 in every way. It easily puts out a room filling soundstage on its own where the CC-370 does not. After room correction I hear no real mismatch between this and my V2 Monitor 9s. Currently testing with multi channel music and it is fantastic. I don't think I will ever consider a non 3 way center again.

I’m absolutely in love with my monitor series speakers. My budget only allowed for $3k worth of speakers this time around. I already had the monitor center 3 v7 and now have 2- monitor 11 v7, 2- monitor Surround 3 v7, 4- CI Pro P65-R

The timbre across the soundstage is incredible. The clarity is amazing, the towers have so much bass it’s quite impressive for their size. I have all this couples with the PSB series 200 sub. Very very very happy with this setup. I’m running a 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos Setup with a Denon AVR-6400H receiver.

Watched a few movies and listened to quite a few tracks so far. It’s been an absolute pleasure!!!

I had listened to the SE6000’s and I’m so glad I gave the monitor 11’s a try. There really is no comparison. Not sure why they decided to replace the monitors with the SE’s

In my experience/opinion, the tweeter on the Monitor SE series is quite a bit better. It has a smoother, more natural sound that reminded me of the Prestige. It's also a lot cheaper than the older Monitor series, meaning Paradigm actually has a very good value series of speakers for the first time since...?

The Premier series is the replacement for the Monitor v7 series. The Premier design is more similar to the Monitor v7. Monitor SE is really a new value line.

They make the Premier in Canada where Monitor SE is made overseas.

I also find the Monitor SE’s are clearer and smoother than the Monitor V7’s. The Monitor V7’s were great sellers for Paradigm, I don’t think they’d spend all of the money on engineering and retooling for new speakers and not make them better. The new SE’s are also priced back to the Monitor’s of 10-15 years ago. The new Premiers are supposed to be closer to the Prestige line, which I heard from a Paradigm rep, but myself I think they’re only slighter better than the SE’s and the Premiers don’t need to exist, other than the fancier looks making them seem higher end.

The wool rock is not glued. It is applied floor to ceiling, however. The wall separates my music room from the laundry room, which was the original reasoning behind the wool rock. I used a stud finder to plan the holes. The templates that come with the speakers make that part simple.
Yes, I use the Elite 65-R's as rear speakers. I have the angled ones for atmos and they are each in a box on the wall up high in a 14' cathedral ceiling.

Hi All,
I need an opinion about Paradigm Mini Monitor V7 speakers.

Here are details. I have Paradigm Cinema 400 as part of my home theater setup which I like. Now I want to replace stock speakers of my Denon micro component system (D-M41) with something with more performance. However my Denon has only 30 watts per channel power so I cannot go for a power hungry speakers and I am also limited to book shelf speakers due to space constraints. I do have a small sub-woofer though.

I am thinking about Paradigm Mini Monitor V7 speakers since those became available at Amazon again and the specifications on Paradigm site says that those speakers only need 15 watts on lower end (compared to 25 - 30 watts of Wharfdales and Def Techs). I am planning to use those speakers only for 2.1 music listening. But I am worried as those speakers may be too 'bright' and I may not be able to listen to these for extended period of times.

Does any one have any opinion of Paradigm Mini Monitor V7 for music playing on a small micro component system? Are these speakers too bright for easy listening experience?
Thanks.

I don't think the Monitor v7 are bright at all.
I had Atoms v7 in a 2.1 set up and liked it.

Given that the center channel for HT is probably the most important speaker, get the best you can. The 55C is a hard-hitting, clear sounding speaker. There is of course the issue of aesthetics, so if that works against you and keeps you up at night, stick with the P80-IW, but from a sheer performance standpoint, if you can accommodate the 45C or 55C, I'd strongly consider it.

Bummer on the space since I see Monitor 7s for less than the Minis.

Didn't know anyone sold them on Amazon. Now yoy've got me debating a Center 3 to replace my CC-170. (Monitor 7s and 4 Atoms from 1999). Didn't think I could get a 3-way in the space I have (24" wide). Really could use some extra clearly there.

Hi All - First time paradigm owner here. Just replaced my Elac Debut 2.0 (L/C/R) with Paradigm SE series. Absolutely shocked at the performance for the price. Seeing a huge clarity and sound stage upgrade moving to these. SE series are some of the more balanced speakers I've owned in terms of treble clarity and mid/bass output even when off-axis.

Looking to get some rear surrounds and curious if folks think the ADP v3s would blend well enough? The SE atom are just too big to fit behind my couch.

55C is the only way to go. Keep the timber match as well the most important speaker for dialogue.

Guys, have you compared Monitor SE directly to the Premiers, is it worth to spend extra money?

Yamaha RX-A1030, Mini Monitors, CC-190, Surround 1 sides & backs, SVS SB2000, Mitsubishi HC7900DW

A Paradigm rep said the Premiers are supposed to be closer to the Prestige, but I don’t think they’re much better at all than the new Monitor SE line. The SE’s are great, especially for the price. I’d get the Monitor SE’s if mostly for home theatre use, or jump up to the Prestige if listening to more music.

Wanted to share some extremely good news, at least for me anyway. Happened to travel to another state for my son's football tournament. Randomly checking Craigslist for my usual Paradigm search. Found a cc 390 at an amazing price. Speaker is flawless. Have been searching for this speaker for years so you can imagine how excited I was when I messaged the guy and it had not been sold yet. I just picked up a few minutes ago. 60 pound beast takes up my entire back seat of my Altima! Told my girlfriend who doesn't quite understand my obsession with home theater and her only response was good, now you can stop complaining about not finding it.😂😂

Congratulations! I have the CC-390 as my center channel speaker and love it in my set up. The sound is amazing and I purchased it at a good price.

I am not the type of person who keeps on upgrading and upgrading with an endless budget and time on my hands to search for speakers. I purchased mine when I heard Paradigm Canada was no longer going to make or improve on the CC-390 V6. Glad I did because it produces amazing sound and I'm 99% movies and good TV programming. The other 1% is for occasional music so the 390 was a good fit for me.

Also, for icing on the cake I just purchased very recently a pair of monitor 11's Series 7 speakers on closeout pricing at Gibby's Audio/Video. GAV just purchased the last remaining stock in Canada of the Monitor 11's. The 11's will complement my 390 as they will be replacing Monitor 9's V5's which will be given to my brother.

I will enjoy my set up for many many years to come. I have also come to conclusion in my life that constant upgraditis can be very expensive and to just make due with what I have instead of the constant expensive upgrade paths that this hobby sometimes flames. This is just me and is no reflection on others who enjoy more expensive home theatre setups.

All the best.
