Monitor 65T/75T are out of stock on Newegg and they might not be coming back. Their prices are sky high on Amazon. What's going on? Is their an update coming to the Monitor series? Are they discontinuing the Monitor line? Are they going to come back in stock? Ever?

You can still get the Monitor 60 series II on amazon for $120.98 each, shipped. That's about the same speaker as a 65T.

I am actually interested specifically in the 65t. Monitor 65T/75T are out of stock on Newegg and they might not be coming back. Their prices are sky high on Amazon. What's going on? Question(s) about the LSiM 707.

It says that they have "Dual 6" x 9" Cassini oval subwoofer radiators"

Does that mean it has one 6 x 9 subwoofer and 1 6 x 9 radiator?

I am not sure how both can be radiators.

Anyone else find it "interesting" that this entire Polk 7.2.4 set up was done just using a 135 Watt Onkyo TX-NR1030?

A 135 Watt AVR can make a 7.1.4 Polk LSiM set up sing?

There were:

2 Fronts - LSiM 707
2 Rears - LSiM 705
1 Center - LSiM 706c

That is a lot right there for a 135 Watt AVR.

But then there were also 4 Atmos speakers - Polk's 900 LS.

yes they are 8ohm and 89db efficient crossed over at 80hz with two subs. chair is within 10 feet at reference what maybe 10-20 watts for each font and for the center the rears don't do much.

Any idea if they are timbre matched to the RTI A9 floor speakers?

RealDeal, have you found any more information on these? I'm having a tough time getting any information on how the V series compares to the MC series in sound quality. (Bezel construction is not important to me.)

Hello Polk fellows,

I'm now in a confusing situation and would like you to help with my headache, I've started building a HT for music/games/movies and here's what I got so far:

Onkyo TR-NX535 for 200$ shipped from A4L. Haven't heard too many other receivers but I'm pretty happy with it, didn't expect I would use network radio that much but it is what it is.
I have a pair of TSX220B which I got for 175$ open box from newegg and originally I wasn't too happy with their sound by I changed room layout a bit and placed them close to the short wall and put them on sanus stands and now I'm pretty happy with the sound even though I didn't expect such a small speakers to bump my decent sized room which is around 400sq. ft. and rectangle shaped.
I also have a center speaker TSX150C.

So here's the way it looks:

This wall is around 10-11feet
--------------------------------
tsx220 tsx150 tsx220

|COUCH| - around 7 feet away from the speakers

---------------------------------
This wall is around 24 feet behind

Now here's the question:

1. I got TSX150c+220B for 300$, I can get tsx110B for 100$. In total my setup will cost me 400$+200$receiver+sub (this is tbd)

However, I've been reading many reviews about that RTI series is WAY better than TSX series and considering that I can still ship my speakers back for around 30$ and get RTI6 for 200$ shipped + RTI4 for surrounds for 120$ and CSi3 for around 100$ I wonder if it's worth the hassle?

So we are talking about 400$ for TSX 5.0 based on TSX220b and 420$+ some hassle to ship tsx back, wait for refund (not an issue since I can buy RTI before getting refund) for RTI6 based surround system.

Will I get an audible sound improvement? Should I go for RTI6? As said before, I'm pretty happy with TSX now but I just can't sleep thinking that I can do better for only 20$.

Thank you.

A little mistake in my calculations, it's 400$ for TSX vs 450$ for RTI.

That's the cheapest I've seen it, even allowing for the exchange rate. I paid $300 Canadian for mine.

Bonus that you get the manufacturer's warranty buying refurbs.

I loved the sound of mine, and so did the guy who bought them from me. I only sold them because I found a smoking deal on some Martin Logans. No way I'd part with $800 for them, but the discounted price is hard to ignore.

Spoiler!

If the rti line is in your budget they are worth the hassel. I have never seen some one complain that they miss their entry level polk after they have upgraded to the middle of the line.

This 15ft away...I use a 80hz crossover speakers set small and have no dialogue or headroom issues up to -5db from reference with the subs running 3-5db hot depending on the movie. Everything sounds crisp, clean, and powerful to that point So I guess that means the A4 can work great in smallish-medium sized rooms when setup correctly.

Righ now my speakers are the limiting factor as they begin to compress turned up any higher then -5. That is running a Adcom GFA 555II for the mains and my Yamaha drives the other 3. My subs have headroom left to spare @ reference levels. One day I will be switching to a High Efficiency speaker setup.

Hey basshead81, was searching through the thread, trying to find as much info as I can about what's needed to power the RTi-A7s, and found a few of your posts. Not enough posts to PM you yet, but was curious what made you upgrade from the A4 to the A6 and your thoughts on it? Also, what Receiver(s) you've used to power your setup, how they worked and changes you'd make or things you wish you would have done differently?
I just purchased RTi-A7s, CSi-A4, and FXi-A4s for my first HT, and I've been reading everything I can about receivers to try and make the right choice on a $3-500 budget, so any information you would be willing to share would be greatly appreciated. Any other people with similar systems/experience/thoughts I'd love to hear your recommendations as well. Thanks in advance, and look forward to actually hearing this system sometime soon, rather than staring at it powerless!
