Lol, I can dig it, I hate it too!!

Nice on the 80.3, I upgraded my 70.4 to an 80.2 so we're essentially using the same unit. I'm liking the balanced connections over the "un" so far. But, having to use the split HDMI outs on the Blu-ray to see any 4K

Spinning the rear tire at 150mph while at 3/4 lean angle will put wrinkles in your seat

Set up:
Integra 80.2 using M.P. Monolith XLR's-Oppo 103-65" 4K Sammy-Emotiva: XPA-DR3, XPA-3, XPA-2 x 2-PolkAudio: RTiA9 x 4-LiSM706-FXiA6 x 4-LiSM703-Furez 10awg homemade cables

Yup same here on all accounts. Ive had the integra for a long while now and just this year i finally tried the balanced connections. Seem pretty good...dead silence with the xpa-2 & 5. Before with the rca's there was a very small hiss with my ear right next to the speaker. Also rockin monolith 12 subs these days...semi-retired my old trusty psw505s after a decade of flawless service.

Polk related - bought my son a refurb integra dtr-40.4 and a pair of t15 polk bookies a while back and gave him one of my old psw505s. It sounds pretty nice in his room with his essentially nearfeild gaming set up he's got going on.

I don't need snobs to tell me how to think, thank you!

Totally relate to the hiss, but mine was due in part to an optical cable I ran from the AVR to the TV. Now I just run HDMI out from the main on the AVR (now the pre) for ARC and a second HDMI from the BRP for the 4K display and all is well.

I got a couple of things new to entice my POLK A9's (oh yeah, added the LSiM 706 center), the Emo XPA-DR3, more power to the A9's and 706 center, the two series actually play very well together up front.

Monday, the PIO Elite UDP-LX500 BRP will make it's grand entrance into my POLK set up

I'm pretty sure it was you that pointed me to the Monoprice RCA's a while back before I started making my own. I'm currently using the Stage Right balanced and the Monolith's for 2ch. What did you end up using for your 80.3?

Using a monoprice rca cable to the sub lol. I need to order a long xlr cable one of these days. Sub lives behind my couch haha

In my absense from avs i had a few bookshelf speakers come and go including lsim 703s...nice but lacking. I really thought id like the ring radiator tweeter but eh...too laid back. I also tried out kef ls50s and again nice, especially imaging but just not enough ooomph for my taste. Folded ribbons are where its at along with excellent bass/midbass and mid-range drivers. If you havent heard the emo T1s or T2s you need to!

Interesting, I've never taken a close up look at those until now. Perhaps maybe one day

For your sub cable, Emo has 5 meter XLR's on sale. I bought a pair of them for my subs...…...when I'm finally able to get them back into action. Not sure it that length will work for you, but their cables have always been great in my system and on par with Cardas when that speaker cable/interconnect try out was going around. It wasn't until I made my own I.C's that I noticed a difference in signal integrity.

which is odd because Paradigm, Anthem and MartinLogan where also sold off to their previous owner as well this week. https://www.cepro.com/article/paradi...rtinlogan_sold

So Best Buy (Canada) has both the Polk Audio Monitor 60 Series 2 and the T600 on sale for $125 and $199 respectively for each. Looking at the specs they seem to be virtually the same speaker. Today I bought a pair of Polk T600 used from a local seller for $360 which is less than I would have paid buying new at Best Buy. However it seems I could have just bought the pair of Monitor 60 Series 2 brand new for $282 and gotten the same speaker. What should I do? The only visual difference I can see is that the T600 I bought used has blue drivers whereas both the T600 and Monitor 60 Series II at Best Buy have grey drivers.

LG 49" UHDTV 49UJ6300; Yamaha RX-V481; Sony UBP-X800 BD Player; Fluance SXHTB speaker set, SVS SB-1000

I'm only familiar with the Monitor series sound wise. They both look to be the same speaker with a slightly different look and name. Don't know what to tell you other than Polk eBay has Monitor 70's on sale for 169. ea.

This is my first time with Polk speakers. Soundwise they are very good. I’m just thinking that perhaps I should return them and get the Monitor 60 Series II from Best Buy instead or perhaps the seller can match the price.

The R/M/T series are Polks bargain basement series. The Monitor series is the next step up.

So from a performance perspective the Monitors are better.

How much? Not sure....

Oh okay. Well it’s the Monitor 60 Series II which are cheaper than the T600 right now. So had I bought the Monitor 60 from Best Buy I would have gotten a better speaker in theory right?

But I dont know why it happen on stereo mode only...In stereo mode it used the audessy right so the LR speaker is limited only 80hz up... And in pure direct it will not use the audessy and the speaker goes to full range... Correct me if Im wrong.
