Awesome! Nothing wrong with Vizio. They build great TVs, very good value. My in laws have an 80 inch Vizio. That thing is enormous.

I think many rate the Bpvx over the Ps because the drivers in the P are used for lower stuff. I’ve never heard the BpvxPs but I own the BPVX and they are great. Also owned two pair of BPX and they are good also.

So I'm an idiot and while adjusting the aim of my ceiling speakers (dt6.5r), my grip slipped and I made a dent on the aluminum piece will this compromise the sound quality in any way??

Objectively yes, the sound quality will be altered, but impossible to say how or how much without actually firing it up and listening; always possible that you may not even really notice a difference, particularly since it's a ceiling speaker rather than a front in a stereo system. You can try to pop it back out with a vacuum if you'd like but have to be careful not to damage it further.

More than that, the VX &.VXP have the classic 6.5" drivers.

For me, I preferred the extra oomph of the low end, but to be fair, that was running them full range, not crossed over. (It was the late 90's who knew from crossovers....)

No.. asking what makes (made) the older line so much better? Why does everyone rate the VX or VXP above the rest?

Why does everyone rate the VX or VXP above the rest? There are other DT surrounds and I like the look of the new line. But I definitely wouldn’t go smaller than a 4.5” driver. I wish I could have the bi polar surrounds but they would be too high in my living room (in my current house). That’s why I went with the ProMonitor 800’s with the ProMount 90 wall mounts and have all four angled down. I have nowhere else (or no other logical way) to put side and rear surrounds. In my next house I may go with bookshelves on stands as surrounds or go another route. Four, or Six, towers would have to be awesome!

Funny you mention that.. they said the SB-1000 would ship Monday (last Monday). I messaged them and said that if they sent a PB-1000 instead (since they’re the same price) it wouldn’t hurt my feelings. I got notification last Wednesday that a PB-1000 and SoundPath sub cable would be shipping Thursday. I got an email Friday from FedEx that said I had an expected delivery for Saturday. Well, Saturday morning got here and I got an email that said it was changed to Monday. Saturday afternoon around lunch I got an email that said the package was not delivered because no one was home. Ugh! Damn FedEx! I have delivery instructions under my login to leave packages at the back door and I left a handwritten note on the door to leave it at the back door.. two days in a row the driver didn’t leave it because it says signature is required. I am off work and it will be here today. In the last two years I’ve had an RSL Speedwoofer delivered along with a PB-2000, dual PB-1000’s, and at two different times a Hsu VTF3.5 and didn’t have to sign for them! So, to answer your question it will be here today. I may work it into the living room setup for now somehow.. not sure yet. It’s sounding pretty damn good like it is but who can’t use more subs???

Wow...that's got to be an inconvenience. They probably need a signature as this sub was won and given as a prize. This way if a dispute was to happen there will be proof it was delivered.let us know how it feels in your living room. With you 8080 towers and HSU bet you'll break a few dishes....

Yes, from 1 to 2 is a pretty major improvement in most situations.
It's much more of a step up than from 2 to 4, in the avg sized room.

You definitely need two! I’m experimenting and I have it behind my sofa (temporarily) at the moment. What a difference it makes! I just ran a y-splitter off my Outlaw OAW4 wireless receiver (going to the VTF3.5) and ran a sub cable across the floor to the PB-1000.

Another great song by Nigel (if you like this kind of music).. check it out. It sounds great on the BP8080’s and VTF3.5!

Are you getting any couch shake? I have my v1801 right behind my middle recliner and it shakes the chair pretty well. Adds a great effect for movies with jump scares.

I can’t leave it there of course, but I can definitely feel it sitting on the sofa.. kind of cool actually!
