What did you move on to, I'm curious? I'm gonna look to move on in the best few years.

@Hetfieldjames Its all in my signature at the bottom...
One of the many nice things about the SDA SRS-TL line of speakers is that they are designed to be against the wall(less then 17" from baffle to wall). So although they are huge and make massive sound they don't need to be 3' or more into the room like most all tower speakers.
Plus you can't bet the SDA TECHNOLOGY for their huge imaging. Polk just brought them back with the L800 this year.

Hi everybody,

So i try what Matthew tell me, i connect the center wire to the BP9060 FRONT. So everything work fine with the BP9060, bass are fine and volume of bass works well with audissey or without.

Then I try what Laika tell me to do.
unhook all speakers and stop every process. try small and crossover at 60hz, no bass.... Try in large, no bass...

Again i think i have an issue with the speakers

Any other idea ?

Thanks for all your help

Turn off all processing. Make sure the speakers are db balanced using a setup mike or db meter.

Unhook all speakers except the center (or turn them off in the amp/ receiver). If you can try a crossover at 50, 55 and 60 (don't use the LFE line). Find a movie with deep male voices, start with the crossover at 50, spend a bit of time listening to the male voices while raising or lowering the bass knob till you have good center bass. Repeat at 55, Repeat at 60) You need about 4 or more inches of open air above the center for this to work. Spend a good 10 minutes on each crossover. If you think you have it nailed spend another 10 minutes to make sure. (Mine knob rides around 11 Oclock)

If you can not set the crossovers in that range set the center to full and do the same.

If you find this works. Activate the front Left and Right. If they have active subs (sorry did not read that part) and start trying to blend. (Once again no processing) start with the bass knobs low, oddly in my room, turning them down from 12 actually increases tactile bass and perceived audio bass (standing wave issue I think). Mine are at around 11 O clock, a bit lower maybe. Repeat the male voice test. Once it sounds right watch a few bass heavy movies and keep playing with the knobs on LR mains. Once you think you have it (take some good time on this, I spent a week) If you like what you hear but it once in a while bass sounds muddy or you lose dialogue toe them in toward the listening position. If your LR mains seem to lack a bit of bass now toe them out away from your head.

If this all works hook up the rest and adjust the sub.

My room hates processing with active speakers, I do the final tuneup with a computer and L/R and sub placement and slight adjustments of the bass knobs again over weeks of listening but don't change them much. When you finish run the mike processing and if you like the sounds better without it just turn it off.

BP2006TL hum

I’ve got a pair of BP2006TL speakers and one morning I woke up to a hum coming from the right speaker when I entered my great room (quasi home theater). After verifying all connections and the hum remained, I simply unplugged the AC. After reaching out to DT technicians, I received instructions for a board removal and repair job. But the techs said I can use it and go on with it as is, since I have a subwoofer and the board is only used for subwoofer management.

The question is, should I get that board repaired? Will it be worth it? Is my system dysfunctional??? It sounds fine to my casual ear. We watch movies all the time and I really haven’t noticed anything different.

That is so odd, It's hard to believe you got two bad ones but I'm starting to think so. The only other thing I can think of is it's wired out of phase either externally or internally. Switch the wires. I don't think this will help but it sure is easy to try. I had mine wired backward after tweaking a few months back and had a ton of bass, I thought the soundtracks were not mixed well but cancellations were not that notifiable, the center just seemed a bit off, watched two movies that way before I determined something was really off, It was not in your face bad and bass was there,. Where you crank it up and there is heavy bass notes on the center can you feel so solid air pumping from the top of the center? I have the 9060 first and did not like it because of lack of bass. Was not bad but it actually had more issues pop up in soundtrack clarity and bass then the 80 wired backward. This is a stumper.

Without the use of the woofer in these towers the cutoff is much different of course. I have read my BP3000 cut off around 120. So as long as you make the adjustments in bass management you should be fine. Or run your receiver setup with towers unplugged and see what it sets them as.

It's not a ground fault is it, sometimes those happen overnight for reasons I don't know. If you are not sure, plug it into another outlet in another room (or at least not on the same circuit breaker) If it goes away there are some cheap ways to try and get rid of the ground fault where it is currently powered.

The red LED is the Subwoofer indicator. Check to see if the subwoofer part of the speaker works.

That depends upon the brand. Denon/Marantz you can set each channel separately, but I understand some other models that is not the case.

I've been noticing an issue with my DT CS9060 Center Channel Speaker. The 'illuminated D' is not turning off, and stays 'illuminated' long after my Denon AVR-X4300H is powered off. The light on the back is blue, which I'm assuming indicates the subwoofer is active. Any ideas / suggestions? I've unplugged it for 10+ minutes, and upon plugging it back in, it did not come on. Even after turning up the volume, it stayed off. I had to unplug the speaker, and plug it back in to get the 'D' to illuminate. I haven't noticed any issues with dialogue or sound coming from the center channel speaker. Everything sounds just like it did before the described issue.

I haven't had good luck with my DT speakers (BP9060's), and now the CS9060. I ended up replacing both powered subs in my BP9060's.

Thanks for the replies.

it is supposed to go off 15 minutes after it no longer detects a signal. if it stays on longer than that after the signal shuts off, i would venture to say you have some king of signal interference that is keeping that going.

i would send an email to DT support....thats pretty much the only way you can get ahold of anyone (took them 4 days to respond to my email).

sorry for your troubles.

I just bought 2 of the BP9060, 2 of the BP9040 and a CS9060. I know forums tend to highlight the problems, but sounds like a few people are having reliability issues with the amp going out, etc...

Should I be concerned? Anyone have any long term reviews on these for reliability?

Thanks

Been having an issue as of late with my Supercube 2000. When I turn on my AVR, the subwoofer won't turn on. I have to unplug the LFE cable from the woofer then the power comes on & then all is well until I turn off the receiver. Could it be an issue with the cable or the amp itself?

may not be detecting a signal from the receiver. could be a short in the cable (happened to me). could be settings on your receiver arent strong in the lfe area.

what is your sub level set to? what source material are you listening to?

there’s a lot of variables that go with your issue.

I wasn't having this issue up until about a week ago. My trim level is set @ -6.0 DB in the AVR so I know it's not too low. I'm kind of thinking it could be the cable because like I said when I disconnect it from the woofer the power come on.

next time it happens, instead of unplugging the cable, try wiggling the cable or tapping the connection. if you do that and it kicks on, you probably have a short. thats what i did when i hd the same issue. but my cable was a monster one that was 20 uears old and went through 5 moves in the military....so.....

or you can go get a new cable, hook it up and turn it on. if it works, its the cable. if it doesnt, return the cable and start looking at either the sub terminal or the receiver.

or you can go get a new cable, hook it up and turn it on. if it works, its the cable. if it doesnt, return the cable and start looking at either the sub terminal or the receiver.

I just wiggled the cable & it didn't come on so does that mean that's the culprit?

Should I be concerned? Anyone have any long term reviews on these for reliability?

Thanks
I've had my pair of BP9060 and a single CS9060 since Q4/2017 without any issues thus far (knock on wood). I drive them daily for at least a couple of hours as part of a 5.1.4 setup using an RX-A3070.

wiggle not just the terminals, but the cable itself from end to end.

if it doesnt come on, i would venture to say it isnt the cable.

Another question...…...I have the BP7004 as fronts & also as surronds.
I was hoping that this set up would give me more bass, but apparently there isn't
much bass sent to the surronds?

Is that correct?

Do you have them set to large in your processor/receiver?

Hi everybody,

Thanks Laika for answers.

Bigshooter, i Think we have the same issue

My problem is still the same. I contact again my dealer who wants me to test with LFE.
So i buy a long cable to connect the CS9080 to the LFE Marantz SR7013. And after a lot of test, still the same issue, NO BASS !

I think the unluck time is here

Hope the dealers will do something

Thanks again
