These Tyler speakers are absolutely gorgeous. I've heard those mids in a two way tower of some brand I have no idea.. Haven't heard anything better except much higher priced B&W 800 series.. 801's or 802's.

Makes me wish I hadn't bought the farm with all the paradigm studio boxes currently all boxed up in storage.. Man, that Linbrook HT setup minus the subs (using my servo 15).. Oh that could be serious. Four times the price I have invested in the studios.. I'd hope so, but one can dream. :)

Ty mentioned to me that its not just tweeters and drivers that are more expensive in his upper line of speakers. There is more expensive wiring and crossover work involved as well.

Dan

Ty told me that the difference between the Scanspeak and the Millenium is that the Scanspeak isn't as forward as the Millenium. My Linbrook monitors are anything but bright, but I am also comming from Klipsch Reference Series speakers, so anything to my ears right now is less bright.

jplmain,

Nope, Carver and carvin are 2 diff. co's.

Bob Carver started a company named "Carver" and I think later sold it.

Then he started a company called "Sunfire", but I think he bought back his old company.

Either way, you can still get Carver amps serviced. Also on ebay , I noticed that the TFM-45 sells for more than I paid my original TFM-45 back in 1989..

One good value is the Berhinger EP2500, you can find it for $300.
All you have to do is mod it. Just replace the stock fan w/ a Panaflo L1 fan. Now you'll have a quiet amp.

Regards,
Jose

Here's the pics:
http://www.relsyscon.com/projects.htm

I'm running the center & rears at 40hz xover and the mains as full range.

I'm switching between the rears & mains for stereo and the sound each gives is so detailed and smooth..

Now off to listen to music and watch alot of movies.

My friends are waiting to come over and see my new system. :)

It's been a pleasure dealing w/ Ty and I'm a firm believer in his model: Provide top notch drivers & xover's w/ a excellent cabinet.

These's are the last speakers that I'll need in a very very long time.

BTW, The center was a tight fit, just 1/2" to spare . :)

Regards,
Jose
