Thanks, pretty happy with how it all came out. need to take some better pictures someday-don't have a great camera as of now. but here are a few.
RP280's, 450C and RS62II's for surrounds. Most likely will upgrade someday with the new RF7III's. But so far I am very happy with this setup. Screen is 133" Stewart Cima. room is 14.5 x 23

Currently deciding between rp 240s ($448/pair) and the rp 250s ($600/pair) for my side surrounds.
They will be 8ft away from main listener position each side and stand mounted with tweeters at ear height.
I have 2x monoprice subwoofers right below them.

Will the 4" vs 5.25" mid driver matter for surround ques?

What receiver are you using to get 9.2.6?

I am set up with 9.3 and DYING to go 9.3.4

I can't find any devices that can do a 9.2.4

Every processor I've found is 11.2 with the exception of the Marantz 8802 that has 13 outs, but ONLY processes 11 at a time, so it's 9.2 or 7.2.4
As I've already installed the RB-82 for my Front heights on the front wall above the mains.

I have been researching this far and wide with no answers

currently I am not using 9.2.6. I am set up for it ( future proof) hoping someday receivers and such will allow it. currently I am using Yamaha 3060 for 7.1.4 with a separate amp for the back overheads. Like yourself, I am hoping to utilize everything someday. but in the meantime I have no complaints. sounds awesome.

I actually currently have the original RF-7, RC-7, and RS-7 speakers that I bought new in 2002-2003. They sure get loud but the overall sound quality might not be exactly the best. Imaging is very poor compared to my JBL LSR305 monitors that I use with my desktop PC. It sounds like the sound is beaming right from the speakers instead of "existing in space" with the Klipsch speakers. Might be a setup/amplifier issue but I am just stating what I've noticed. The overall tone and sound quality is also far better on my LSR305 monitors compared to the RF-7s. Are these the reasons why they think Klipsch is crap?

In fact, those here actually recommending Klipsch speakers over others and/or defending Klipsch IS KGI's largest advertising asset, imo.

JBL folks care about extremely accurate sound reproduction, with spinoramas to back it up.

@itsmyforte , Could you please post some Klipsch spinoramas? How accurate is the RP450C / RP280F / RF7ii on and off axis? With these valuable data, perhaps you can change the JBL fanboys perception.

I don't post polar data, or any speaker data for that matter. I don't really care to appease any fanboys.

I believe that was a rhetorical question; movies are not mixed down on Klipsch systems, but many are mixed down on JBL systems. However that's more about who makes high end studio monitors, not about what's best for home theater.

I still love my despised R28F mains. I am sorry I read all the disparaging remarks and got the supposedly better speakers then had to return them and get back my R28F's as they are front ported and therefore actually usable in my setup.

But all that being said, I just bought a RSB-11 soundbar for my bedroom, and it blows - I couldn't be more disappointed. Granted I was trying to use it as a device to stream music and ambient sounds from my android phone via bluetooth when I sleep, but it really truly was disappointing.

Klipsch makes some great products, and some not-so-great products. The same can be said about JBL, Polk, Boston Acoustics, or any of the other brands I've bought.

At the end of the day, if it sounds good it is good, brand and price aside; If it doesn't sound good, it's not good, brand and price aside.

Has anyone here used the Omnimount 15.0W for the Klipsch RS-62?
Do you feel it's holding well?

I have 4 of them for my RS-52s, but just sold them and now getting the RS-62.
The weight on the 15.0 W is rated at 15lbs where as the 62 are 22.7lbs

Probably not a good idea to exceed the weight rating. If anything I'd go overkill on the weight rating.

I too use Omnimount, back in 2009 I called their Customer Service and they advised me to if I had a 15 lb speaker use a 25/30 lb mount for a long term install.

I use this model for my RS3-II rears. https://www.amazon.com/Omnimount-25-.../dp/B010EC7L64

I've seen that one before, how do you match up the holes on the back of the speakers?

The Omnimount that I have:

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...=Y&sku=1243854

Aligns perfectly with the RS-52. However the RS-62 holes are 4.24" apart. So I came up with an idea through my local hardware store to make it happen. However no matter how much I tighten the ball joint it slowly lags and the bottom of the speaker touches the wall. So I am thinking either live with that and of course use the rubber round legs they came with so it's in-between the speak and the wall, since having it angles all the say down till the bottom touches takes a bit of the load off. The omnimounts rated at 15lbs and this RS-62 is at 22.7lbs.

Or.....should I get this:

http://www.mycablemart.com/store/car..._detail&p=2855

which is rated at 33lbs, I called them and told them the situation and if their design would still sag and they didn't know. So I am not sure if its worth the hassle of getting 4 more, drilling a total of 16 holes and after all said and done. It also sags.

Here's some pics of what I did and hope it can help others, but would appreciate any opinions and thoughts

Klipsch finish/asthestics

Hey all, I am seriously considering either the rp250 or 260's coupled with the 240 center channel. I am coming from paradigm studio 100's v2 with the rosewood finish, they're about 12 years old. One has stopped working, and I'd love to "downsize" slightly size wise as my ht set up is in the family room and the studio 100's are very large. It looks like the klipsch are getting excellent reviews, and the 250's might be a great fit for my room( I have a very nice sub). Unfortunately there are. O local klipsch dealers near by save for BB, but they only stole the lower end models. I am intrigued by buying direct from klipsch based on their 30 day no risk return policy. I am very curious how is the fit!/finish is on the RP line, do the cabinets look cheap wood grain in black, or are they on the nicer side no. The 7II in walnut look georgous in the pix I've seen, they're just a bit large for what I'm trying to do otherwise I'd jump on them. I'm 90% movies/games, and very interested based on reviews and the no risk trial. For reference, I really like the finish on say the Martin Logan motion series and the b&w cm line. Thanks in advance !

Will an amp like the ATI Signature AT6000 out-class a RF-7 III/RC-64 III based setup? Is it possible to have amps that are "too good" for Klipsch speakers? The amps will costs more than the whole Klipsch speaker set.

I have always had an ATI amp on my Klipsch speakers. Right now I have a AT527nc running my system.

If you have the coin go for it the RF 7 III/RC-64 will make your ears bleed before you will clip them with TOO much power.

None of the Dub stages in Hollywood use Klipsch, that I know of. Klipsch are a consumer speaker that's colored. Mix stages use uncolored flat feq. response speakers.

The fit and finish is meh. It looks fine from a distance but if you look closely you'll notice things - lumps under the vinyl, poorly finished seams, etc. The RP series sounds great, no doubt, but aesthetically they're not in the same league as your Paradigms -- nor would I expect them to be given the price. IMHO you'll need to step up to the real veneer speakers (RF-7II, Heritage, etc) to see better finish quality. That said, the vinyl doesn't look particularly fake, but it's not "furniture-grade," that's for sure. Regardless, I doubt many people buy the RP speakers with aesthetics as a top priority.

Has anyone upgraded from the RP-440C to 450C? Is there a significant difference in their performance?

Back in December when I purchased my RP set, I didn't have the space to fit the 450 but now my wife is planning to change our living room furniture and I might be able to bargain a center upgrade and a sub repositioning... Thoughts?
