[QUOTE=ceptorman;54876002]There's no doubt the prices on the RF7lls are very good right now. But imagine the regret of not having the llls....sorry!

Ceptorman.... thank you for your comment and sorry for my late response. Having read this forum, I know that you are
associated with Klipsch and there is only so much you are allowed to say at this time. I have been waiting for the RF-7 iii's for over two years. I was hoping Klipsch would have released more information on them since their announcement in January.
I assume that you have listened to them? They sound great? Are you allowed to say what veneers are being released? Any special editions? Any pictures that Klipsch can share? ETA?😀 Any information that your allowed to say would be appreciated. Thanks.

Question 2 x R-115SW & 1x R-112SW vs. 2 x R-112SW & 1 - R-115SW?

Question on Subs

Right now I have a R-112SW and a R-115SW.
I want to get another sub, since can't justify the SVS-16 Ultras costing 2.5k.

I really want that tactile feel chest pounding feel, so wanted to get some opinions from any Klipschologist.

Would getting another R-115 and having both 15's in the front and the R-112 in the rear work out better or getting another R-112SW and having both 12's in the front and the 15 in the rear?

The concerns have been addressed, the Emotiva Gen 3 amps are quite nice....I have a 4/3s running my sides/rears and 4 object speakers(can do 2 more if I decide to add them)....

Sounds like a plan, just out of curiosity is there any actual difference (besides the finish) of the 450C and 450CA? The CA model is currently cheaper than the regular C on Crutchfield.

Same speaker. Different finish.

The CA has a real wood veneer to match the Atmos speakers. The C has a vinyl veneer.

Uh, okay...? However, your post sure read as though it's fact that they're shipping this month. And, as I pointed out, @itsmyforte (who, incidentally, is a Klipsch employee), certainly implies otherwise.

They are all great speakers. No doubt, the RF7lls are highly regarded. All I will say is that's a smoking deal on the RF82lls.

I am not associated with Klipsch, I'm a general contractor!
I do love their products, wish I had more.
I do have a friend that works there, but we seldom talk about what they might be bringing to the market. He has a pretty stressful job, and I try not to bug him about their products. He actually prefers to talk about what I'm working on. He was on the development team for the Palladium line, and currently working on other stuff, but that's about all I know. Itsmyforte would know what's going on.

Fair enough. Apologies to @cchunter . Maybe they will ship this month, who knows. And honestly I don't GAFF since I much prefer my RF-7II's (at least in the looks department) to the III's.

FWIW it sure is hard to read coyness, sarcasm, etc. on an internet forum.

Short answer, yes.
No crossover is needed if you stay at or under the rated power, though I advocate for using one if you have a subwoofer.

I use it with my new Marantz 7011, sometimes I watch movies at near reference levels, is that also safe? I have four 280’s and a 450c which I plan to use with a 60hz crossover all around.

If you keep the power level at or under the rating on the speaker, you can use any crossover setting you want. Listening at reference level hours on end could damage your hearing, I'll let you decide if that is safe.

Damn, okay... thanks for that info, I'll do some more digging.

edit: Can you provide any links with more details on yours and others issues with them? I tried searching but I didn't really see anything. Thanks.

As I have discussed a lot about this in this forum I'm planning on using heresys as height speakers, and I will be comparing them to the Klipsch 140SA for atmos use, in my 11.2 installation. I do not have the funds to buy 2 sets of heresys so I will be using some replacements. Was wondering if the timbre match would be okay if I'd use 2 pairs of "Klipsch quintet2" with klipsch Heritage line up. The quinte have very llittle horns so I'm not sure. Thanks in advance!

All things considered, I'm glad I have it... but mostly because there's nothing bigger in the RP line up, so I don't have that "what if" or "itch" to buy it.

I agree on everything. Bigger, better and no more “itch” to upgrade since there’s nothing better in the RP line yet!!!

Go for the 450C and you will not regret it!

A lot of you are buying the Reference Series speakers for your home theater.
I wanted to share a game changing experience to help with your decisions.

For over 10 years my set up has been RF7's, RC64 and RS62's and the Klipsch Sub12.
Powered by Emotiva XPA5 and currently controlled by Marantz 7008.
Room is approx 10x24, wood off grade.
Sub12 (down firing) was isolated from the floor. It sounded great but...

The game changer was the acquisition of TWO Klipsch R115SW subs.
It took about a month of adjustments and testing to come to the RF7's set to small with 80hz crossover. (Audyssey suggested initial set up was 40 cross over and set to large for the L/R. Changed that.)
It is like I have purchased a whole new BETTER system.
Amazing upgrade for theater.
I am using the subs with/for 2 channel music also, it too, sounds amazing even though they don't kick in for a lot of my music, but when they do...
Zen Traveler, sddp and ceptorman like this.

Music, more music.

I've heard a lot of good things about those subs. Fry's has pushed them for $400 a couple of times. I'm tempted to jump on that deal if it comes up again.

Glad you are enjoying.

Just picked up the RP140 Atmos speakers
Two options for placement: On top of the front speakers or wall-mounted
The first option would be the easiest by far
But the second option (wall-mounted) seems like it would give the best Atmos effect
What are you guys doing?

Go to the Dolby Atmo site and mount them on the wall as shown.
