Thanks Retro, the first RF-7 III video I posted 6 days ago currently has 13,000 views. Seems like there is a lot of interest in the RF-7 III. I would be more than happy to review the RF-7 IV but I'm guessing that will be 5 years or so out. LOL

Thanks ereed. I just posted a new video. The next video I want to work on is an actual audio comparison between the RF-7, RF-7 II and RF-7 III.

Yeah, you are probably right. I guess I was thinking of the time frame between RF-83 and RF-7. Think it was about 4-5 years.

I concur with ceptorman....also great review! If the 7 III’s are as good as your review suggests, you’ll have your own video production company before we see a 7 IV!

Thanks Retro, we didn?t do a lot of comparison between the DeanG and stock RF7 II since most guys watching the videos do not have their crossovers modifies. We were mainly interested to hear how stock versions sounded compared to each other. I believe we experienced the first ever three generations of RF7?s in a side by side comparison. It was pretty awesome! The DeanG have a smoother top end which is what they are known for in the RF-7?s. My ears have always preferred a brighter top end so I enjoyed both the stock as well as the DeanG RF7 II.

Question, What's the difference between Klipsch RP-280F Tower Speakers and the RF-7's II? I'm trying to find out which one is better. Mostly 80% Movies, 15% gaming, 5% music.
Living room is 17" x 14" pretty open room.

That is easy if you can RF-7II’s is way to go. Bigger woofers and compression drivers. Real wood finish and now even low price is hard to beat.

I was at this gathering....I’ve always liked my 2004 RF7..RC7 and RS7 with 2 Klipsch Ref 15” subs in my room...which is more acoustically treated plus different amplifier too. But after hearing the RF7 then RF7-3 I’m really wanting to upgrade speakers. Klipsch did a fine job on the new speakers.

It’s not all about the new horn with the RF7-3...I hear a better mid range especially the upper Mississippi DW to,lower treble range and the mid bass and low end was faster-punchier-tighter.

I really wonder what the new rf7-3 would sound like in my room and if the old rc7 would work or if I should change to a new Klipsch Center speaker.....hummm

Main room McIntosh MC207 Amps....Marantz AV8801 Processor....Revel F36 Concerta2 And Revel Subs....Panasonic BluRay BDT500....Sony 85"4k

Hi, I noticed your reference to your 7 setup. I was headed that was but could not find an RF-7. While I waited, I really came to love that RC-7, and in then end I was able to get a pair of RF-5 with RC-7 tweeters and crossovers. So I essentially have RC-7 across the front with RS-7 surrounds and the RC-7 with RF-5 tweeters and crossovers as back surrounds.

I have have not heard the RF-7 iii, but every report I have heard is positive. It would really be hard for me to ever give up the RC-7. I have not heard that much of the new centers, but what I have heard did not impress. If you get the RF-7 iii, you ought to at least give the RC-7 a chance.

The old RC7 is a great center, and might blend well with the new RF7llls, but there is a new matching center.....RC64lll, made just for the new 3.

The RP280 is a wonderful speaker, and is probably geared more towards HT. The RF7ll is just a huge step up.

Hey Guys, I have just finished building a house and working on setting up my theater room. Right now I have Front L & R Klipsch RF-62's and a pair of RS-42's for surrounds. I want to eventually upgrade them as its a large room. I have an SVS PB1000 Sub which has got a nice kick. The Room is 5 Meters x 7.5 Meters with teared seating. I need to upgrade my Centre speaker and just looking for some suggestions. I also need to get a new Receiver. Would love any suggestions. Price not too important, I want something that I will be happy with for years, my old Centre is a RC62 and just need to upgrade it. Thanks in advance.

You have an open invitation the next time you are in Florida. I have the only pair of RF-7 II Deang crossovers. I have enjoyed them for several years now. Dean of course has modified probably hundreds of original RF-7's which refine the sound as well as "tame the highs". I did notice when comparing the RF-7 II stock to RF-7 II with Deang, the highs are smoother with Deang than without. Not that the stock sound bad, it just depends on whether you like a brighter or a more laid back top end.

When I check my E Mail I get an ad for Klipsch (duh, every computer that tracks me know what I look at!) one of the photos in the add is a very tall but skinny Klipsch tower with FOUR copper woofers under the Tweeter. Now I remember the 3 cones on the RF83 but I can't seem to locate this speaker on the Klipsch site, which one is that?
Also has anyone heard of an Energy Sound Bar made by Klipsch?

Music, more music.
